Presumed Located NY - Sean Pohle, 24, New York City, 3 Nov 2017

Yes, they are two different airports. Westchester County Airport is roughly 30 miles from Manhattan and Stewart Intl Airport is about 65 miles NW of Westchester Co Airport.

I'm not sure it matters, it just caught my eye that he flew out of a somewhat obscure airport in Newburgh, NY.

Is there a difference between Stewart Airport and Westchester County Airport?

I never heard of Stewart before. We are travelling to the Berkshires for the holidays and was trying to get family to fly in from Orlando and was monitoring flights in and out of Westchester in lieu of Newark or Albany. Never heard of Stewart but it's seems like easy access on I-87.

Hey everyone. I'm new here, so please forgive me if I make any rookie mistakes.

I only met Sean once during my freshman year of college, so I probably shouldn't be as invested in this case as I am. But I feel like there is something off about this whole thing. <modsnip> Why is his family not making any statements? As someone else previously mentioned, I'm a bit troubled by the lack of information/communication being provided by LE. An article I read earlier said inquiries about the case are being directed to the Prosecutor's office. Is this standard in a missing persons case?
<modsnip>

My stepbrother disappeared in 2013. Told us he was going to work and just never showed up. When he didn't come home that night, it turned into an all-out panic fest. <modsnip> My SB ultimately committed suicide, and I hope that is not the conclusion of this story. But it just seems like there is something we are not being told about this case, and I am trying to understand why that would be.

I have been following along on Sean's girlfriend's facebook updates. She posted an updated flyer yesterday, and 21 hours ago, someone named Kyle commented on it saying, "I think I know where Sean is. My friend who lives in Florida has told me that he has seen Sean." Sean's girlfriend, along with a few other people commented back asking Kyle to please contact the police ASAP.
14 hours ago Kyle replied, "Hey Alexa! My friend and I will reach out to the police and I’ll explain to them in detail what happened and what my friend saw in Orlando. I will let you know for sure what happens!!"

It might end up being nothing, but I thought it was worth mentioning..

I haven't seen any updates to this possible sighting of Sean. It could be some cruel hoax.

It kind of strange that Sean's disappearance has fallen off the radar screen. A lot of activity the first week but nothing much since.

It is sad that they seems to be no progress. I wonder, since he is a singer/actor/dancer if he might have gone to Orlando for work? Disney and Universal hire a huge number of people in that line of work.

At this time of year Disney and Universal hire many temporary/contract workers for the holidays. However there would be some type of activity on his SSN unless he is using a alias and bogus SSN to avoid detection. It seems Sean had some type of plan when he went missing.

Would they have to report it? If he were hired as seasonal help maybe they wouldn't know he was considered missing.

Disney or Universal would definitely be 100% above board with the IRS, even for seasonal employees. They would require a social security card when an employee was hired, and would send the SSN to the IRS to verify. He would need both a valid fake social security card and fake IDs to support his false identity. I don’t think there is any chance he works for a big international corporation and has escaped detection.

I understand they would follow the law if they were to hire him, but would they have to report him anywhere? What if they didn't even know he was considered missing? So they hire him, right name, right SSN, etc., but don't call around saying "Has this person been reported missing anywhere?" Adults are allowed to leave - I remember this happening with a girl who left her home in Texas and resurfaced in Maine. There was nothing anyone could do.

I am hoping that LE is monitoring his SSN activity. I think employment records are confidential unless requested by LE maybe they need a warrant to gain access to employee records. If Sean is working at a lesser know Hotel its possible that the employer is not aware he is missing. There is more to this story than the family and or LE are is telling the public.

After reading the comments in the previous post it appears Sean's family has hired a PI to investigate Sean's disappearance.
Some of the comments seem confrontational towards someone or I could be misinterpreting them. This is a very strange case.

So I wonder if he ever went to AK's house.

Honest question : Sean lives in Manhattan ? and works as a server in a restaurant ? My question is How ? Even with a roommate ? Average rent is around $3800- $4800 and UP even with a tiny place. It is my home town, but I've not heard anything about Sean's disappearance. Hope he turns up safe.

He could make 1000.00 a week or more if it's a good restaurant, or just busy. That is not out of the realm of reality in this city.

Maybe this is one of the reasons he left NYC. He wasn't suited for that type of life style and wanted to move on with his life.
