Expert Jonathan T. Gilliam, a former Navy Seal and FBI special agent, tells PEOPLE that he believes the prisoners most likely had help to carry out their escape.

"Just from the video that I saw, I just don't think they cut the pipes with a sawzall," says Gilliam, CEO and founder of United States Continued Service, a consulting firm.

"When you look at the video of the cuts that were made in the pipes, you cannot do that with a sawzall, which leaves jagged edges," he says. "Those were clean cuts. It looked like they used a plasma cutter or an acetylene torch. You can't make those types of clean cuts with the tools they reportedly had – a drill and a sawzall."

Exactly! This was one of the most revealing images I've ever seen on twitter, because it allows us to see the absolute dichotomy for ourselves.

It's like a Wolf in Sheep's clothing, to the Nth Degree, with flowery penmanship to boot. I sometimes sit here, and just shake my head in awe at the details of this case.

Might as well continue to hold onto hope that this could all come to a resolution without anyone being harmed. Considering how mind-boggling things have been thus far, I'm going for the outlier outcome.

I know what you mean, it's difficult reconciling the author of that letter with the person who committed such a ruthless murder. If I met him on the street and didn't know any better he would come across as a nice, normal guy. :scared:

lease: I would love to wake up tomorrow with the news they've been captured, miserable, hungry and bedraggled, still lugging around that guitar case. The Greatest Escape would end with a fizzle, only five miles from where they started.

And if they are captured, I think someone should leave a little post-it note on their breakfast tray every morning in solitary confinement saying "Have a Nice Day!" with a smiley face.

I have a feeling that they may have somehow made it over the border into Quebec on that first night/early morning. Whether they did it through a crossing with fake passports or through compromising an unmanned crossing I have no idea though they did have tools with them. But the border is RIGHT THERE it is walk /runnable from the prison. I would hope that there is a way to tell after the fact if the border was compromised. The fact that authorities haven't ruled it out completely concerns me. There are no alerts out in Quebec and no news coverage either. Most people are unaware. Even a police officer I spoke to yesterday was not even aware an escape had taken place :0. It's a different world entirely here and it's only 15 minutes away from the prison. Crazy.

It was reported the Montreal Gazette on June 7th and it's been covered on the news in Ontario too. You can rest assured that the border patrol was on high alert.

If they drove across the border, even though it was before the alert went out, Border Patrol would have a record of it. Getting into Canada and living here is a lot more challenging and risky than staying in the US. They would need a network of support in order in Canada to establish a new identity. What would be the point? Do they not know that the RCMP always get their man?

I am so very confused: SIX DAYS now and those 2 men need to be sleeping and eating and staying warm. I cannot imagine that they're out in the woods! WHERE THE HECK CAN THOSE 2 MEN BE???

Also, as to tailor shop/prison lady/mom: So, when I read about her former seamstress factory coworkers saying that she used to like to have affair s@x on the railroad tracks just outside the factory walls, IMO, if that's true, seems like a personality type who'd get thrills helping 2 hunky guys escape from prison ! I read that Matt has 'metal teeth' and so I looked for all pics' of him I could find, and what I found was video of him from his murder trial for torturing & killing that 73 y old man - he's sitting and apparently talking for a few secs' with his lawyer - he's aware the camera is on his face and he's smiling about something - he tries to keep his lips sealed, but there's just a blip of a second where you can see his teeth and they are not attractive teeth FYI - kinda shockingly bad teeth - looked like bad dog teeth (spikey points of a few teeth) plus metal.

I absolutely cannot wrap my mind around this prison breakout, and now SIX DAYS of 2 missing men. Who gave them the tools? Cut through a double brick wall? How did the tools get there in the 1st place - who put the tools there? Who did the cutting? They cut through a steam pipe and shimmied through that - - - those things are super duper boiling hot - how can that be ???????

Where are those 2 men now? Where are they sleeping? Who's taking care of them? Giving them food, warmth, pillows? Surely they're indoors somewhere ?? Are they watching tv? IS ANYONE HELPING THEM and who in their right mind would help those 2 guys unless they were prison workers having harm threatened to their kids or somethin' ? Eric Frein had obviously left all sorts of his junk out in the woods in various places prior to him successfully running around loose in the woods for weeks. The cabin burglar guy had a hideout and steady food-all his needs met from his ongoing stealing.

Does anyone thing these 2 men could possibly be out all alone - - ??? I keep coming back to the thought that those 2 would find some old person or couple and take over their home, take all their cash, take their cash. But, take the people's car???
