Just thinking out loud, if they were tryign to just disappear forever IMO they would go for canada or escpecially to mexico, where LE has stated many times that Matt has connections.

It doesn't make sense for them to head down to Philly then to NYC from there. You can't get out of NYC on a plane without being caught I wouldn't think, not those guys, not now. Where would they even be trying to get to, if they're heading southeast?? Not mexico, not canada...

DICKINSON CENTER — Inmate Richard Matt's shift in the tailor shop was changed because he and supervisor Joyce Mitchell seemed too friendly, sources inside the prison told the Press-Republican.

Mitchell, 51, may have helped Matt and fellow murderer David Sweat with their escape, New York State Police Superintendent Joseph D’Amico has confirmed.

“She befriended the inmates and may have had some role in assisting them,” D’Amico said.

my professinial vote is she has been talking to family, she is a borderline/histronic- that is why the son messed up. she is madly in love with X bla bla - borderlines have huge problems with boundaries, so it all fits

if we look at her history- sex on railroad tracks, we are borderline---

I also think she is not educated, got a govt job, and beleives when her panic attack provented her from picking up her "man" by being cooperative - she would not be charged - she is going to jail poor needy thing !

Id love to know what kind of food wrappers they found at the place where the 2 slept. Also staying in a field would be stupid with patrolling aircraft w/ heat seekers, etc scanning the area. Most likely found a bed of grass or vegetation near a thicket or water, imo.

I went out for a ride today to have a look-see, even though I am to the southeast of the prison.

First of all, it is brutally hot and humid today.
It's so bad I had to return to my air-conditioned car because I started to get shaky due to the heat.

These two must be near some sort of water source in order to survive.
Although, the nights have been a bit cooler, tonight won't cool down as much.

It's actually a really pretty area.
There's lots of forests, marshes, meadows and fields in the area nearby the prison. There is a semi large lake too.
Brambles, wild berry bushes (most edible, but not quite ripe yet), tall grasses of all kinds, all varieties of trees, especially evergreens. It's a great place to hunt for wildflowers and wild mushrooms as they are abundant in some places.
As someone else mentioned there are small cabins here and there, mainly occupied in the summertime.

I can't imagine all those that are involved in the search are making out.
Most are wearing fully geared tactical clothing; and as I said it is unusually hot and humid.
I have faith though, that they will catch them soon.
You couldn't pay me enough money to search in these conditions.

I'll check back in later for news, I need a nap after that outing. Yikes!

Perhaps, if they were engaged in sexual activity when the train was rolling down the tracks...nothing indicates that she suffers from BPD imo. Dx is most often reserved for females.

So what if she may not have a college degree? So what if she is a civilian employee?
