OMG i was gone for a handful of hours and you guys posted thirteen pages. Can you all just take a few minutes and sit quietly and wait for me to catch up? :angel: LOL ok well it was worth a shot. I am guessing you all covered the news conference and are as miffed as I am that so far her only charges are one misdemeanor with max sentence up to a year in jail, and one class d felony with sentence of 2 1/3 - 7 years. And her husband is not charged with anything nor being held, I did hear that tonight on CNN. But otherwise I don't think anything else is going on. (O/T, we have golf ball sized hail coming my way right now and a tornado watch, should be interesting. No rain yet but .. I love storms so.. yeah. Wish one of those knuckleheads up that way would get clobbered in the head with a golfball sized piece of hail, or twenty.

Interesting comment by a guest on CNN. "Why would the prison give their prisoner's green jumpsuits when the prison is surrounded by forest".

This is a very good point. Usually prison jump suits are orange so that an escapee would stand-out like a sore thumb in the general population (and in a forest).

Police: Woman arrested for aiding murderers in escape

The Times Union reported Friday that Joyce Mitchell, 51, a prison employee who is a focus in the escape of two men from a maximum security prison, allegedly admitted to State Police investigators that she assisted the inmates, including providing access to a cell phone and smuggling power tools into the maximum-security prison.

District Attorney Wylie disputed part of the information at a news conference later Friday morning, saying that Mitchell did not smuggle power tools into the prison. He acknowledged that she did smuggle "contraband," but declined to provide any details.

However, a State Police document obtained by the Times Union lists Mitchell's role as "prison employee, admitted to providing power tools." The same document, prepared by the agency's Special Investigations Unit, also says that Mitchell's husband, Lyle, "may have assisted with the escape."

Wylie, when asked to describe prison contraband, said it could be items ranging from a magazine to "blades." Law enforcement sources have said they believe the inmates, who may have used electric grinders or hand-saws to cut through the backs of their adjacent cells, would have needed multiple blades to do the job because of the amount of cutting that went on.

CNN has Anderson Cooper on and he just said she's expected to be arraigned any minute but my hands are full for a bit so I can't sit and transcribe whatever they show, so just a heads up for anyone who might be able to, and/or might want to watch for that. He's covering that story right now (Tillie in general).
