I wonder if Tillie gave them a GPS device? They had a 5 hour lead, at least, and the only scent picked up for them was at a gas station. All they would need to cross into Canada within a few hours would be an ATV and a GPS.

LOL Sure I am a hugger. Due to our gun laws we could never have the time to defend ourselves in a break in etc. Those of us that have guns. We have hunting guns. Hand guns whole other issue even getting one. Storing one. We have a steel bat. State of the Art security system. Outdoor lighting sensors that would put the Griswold Xmas to shame. Last two fairly recent in place. Home invasion down the street for paintings etc. Typically nothing ever happens here. In my city. So Canada would be a target. Many places they could blend, hide depending where they would land.

Personally, I think they are already separated and long gone from this area. Matt I might remember if I saw him but Sweat is so non-descript. He could blend in almost anywhere. Matt looks hardened and somewhat threatening depending where you're from and where you are.

In the article it also said they know now why she took this risk. It really sounds like she wanted her husband murdered.

Authorities are now figuring out why Mitchell would risk her freedom to help the two convicts escape, the New York Daily News reports. Police had originally investigated whether Lyle Mitchell had aided the breakout.
