SBM -
Out she is risking the wrath of the community
(ETA: I bet LE isn't too pleased with her right now either, inside OR out!)

One of the people I work with had to go 8 roadblocks to get to work. Gets old real fast. And word on the "street" boots on the ground are not happy about leaks to the press.

Retired DOC explain the bucket being lifted up to the tower guards from outside the prison. Apparently, the only way into the tower is from OUTSIDE the prison. There is no access to the guard tower from inside the prison. So the bucket system is used to lower the key to the next guy that comes on shift and to get their meals delivered, etc. And, BTW, there was no guard in the tower closest to the manhole on the night Matt and Sweat escaped -- budget cuts.

A couple of random thoughts this morning - the reason we dont' know for sure if they had internet in there is because other inmates reported that the two had contraband cell phones in jail, despite Tillie saying that if they DID, they didn't come from her, and not being able to confirm it. But I don't know that they were able to actually use internet while in prison without those.

And, I had forgotten that Chris Cuomo even worked at CNN, I haven' seen him at all since this started until this morning. I wouldn't think there would be a "conflict of interest" of him reporting on this case just because of being the brother of Andrew Cuomo. Poor Mario is probably twisting in his grave over all of this. JMO

If they had cell phones then it's a whole new ball game to me as far as their exit goes.

Something else to keep in mind...license plate readers are widely used now and if they are in a stolen car or one with stolen plates that car may be stopped or staked out if there is a hit on the plate.

"Honor housing has its rewards

A prerequisite for admittance into any honor housing unit is a positive disciplinary record. Ten maximum-security prisons have nearly 1,500 cells in honor blocks while there are almost 1,600 beds in honor housing at 18 medium-security prisons.

Inmates whose behavior allows for honor housing placement receive additional benefits that can include, depending upon facility, access to late-night recreation, additional television viewing hours, more liberal hours to use collect call-only phones, additional commissary buys, expanded on-unit cooking privileges, use of clothing washer and dryer machines, additional yard privileges and additional hours of shower operations.

Honor housing is also separate from the general population where conduct is not always so honorable. In maximum-security prisons, honor housing may offer larger cells than those in general population."

I am NOT saying this is in any way related....but it's hard not to speculate a bit on this.

http://www.buffalonews.com/city-reg...inside-vacant-house-in-niagara-falls-20150617
A woman’s dismembered body was found in an abandoned Niagara Falls house late Tuesday, and the victim may have been related to another Niagara Falls woman whose body was cut into pieces three years ago in a still-unsolved murder.

and here is an article on why Matt was in prison.

http://www.foxnews.com/us/2015/06/0...ison-and-uneventful-time-served-before-their/
Richard Matt's former fiancee, a step-brother and co-defendant took turns at Matt's trial providing details of the 1997 kidnap, torture and hacksaw dismemberment of Matt's 76-year-old former boss, whose body was found in pieces in the Niagara River.

Very spooky!! But, it sounds like LE is relating this dismemberment/murder to another in the area 3 years ago, when Matt would have been incarcerated. Geez.

That is a fantastic catch IMO and I can't wait to see if it's Sweat. Or related to the two guys in any other way. I guess if it was we'd have heard of it by now though...

I can only think of three reasons to kill the husband.

1. He knows something
2. She was trying to make it look like she was kidnapped instead of being a voluntary participant and they murdered him in the process
3. There were things, supplies, ect., to pick up at the house that she could not load up without Lyle becoming suspicious.

4) She wanted him dead to collect life insurance.

5)She wanted him dead to focus on her new man (men).

I am thinking along the lines that she made a deal with the devil. Like, I will help you escape if you kill my husband.

Humiliating and torturing an elderly man is only second-degree murder? Certainly he went to the old man's house with the intent of harming or even killing the old man to get the money. How can that not be premeditation and first-degree murder?

Matt is one mean dude.

  • #752
My list of reasons is narrowed even more than you guys' -

1. He knew something
2. She thought she might be able to get life insurance money with which to continue being useful to Matt and Sweat, who she seemed to hold in great esteem and dream of running away with

Really though it's just number one IMO.
------------

So here's another issue. Like 9 days ago or something Tillie's daughter or daughter in law, I forget what she was exactly, was quoted in MSM as saying if Tilly contacted anyone for the convicts, it was just ABOUT THE PAININGS/ART.
JUNE 9:
"Paige Mitchell denied that her mother-in-law was to be the getaway driver and that she helped provide the power tools used in the escape. She added that Matt may have persuaded her mother-in-law to contact people for him who knew about art, saying, "Her heart was in the right place.""

http://www.cnn.com/2015/06/11/us/new-york-prison-break/

Now today at this late date theyr'e saying they saw Tilly's phone records and found that she called Matt's daughter TO DISCUSS THE PAINTINGS/ART.
JUNE 18:
"Investigators have also subpoenaed her cell phone records and found that she spoke with Matt’s daughter at least once, Wylie said."

http://kfor.com/2015/06/17/new-york...gave-painting-to-prison-worker-before-escape/

(on TWCNews.com they were interviewing Wylie, I think it was? and that was who said it was specifically about the paintings/art, just like the DIL said a full 9 days ago that Tilly MAY have done. SMH)

IMO Tilly's daughter/in law knew this weeks ago, she needs to be questioned RIGHT THE HECK NOW.

ETA: Which means her SON also knew IMO, yet he's been proclaiming her innocence louder than anyone IMO. WTH?

I'm pretty sure not only was the daughter-in-law questioned intensively, her son was also.

"Being in the honor block gave inmates privileges such as going outside every day, having hot plates and refrigerators in their cells, and congregating for hours in a central gallery area each evening with fellow inmates"
http://pix11.com/2015/06/18/day-13-inmate-gave-painting-to-prison-worker-before-escape/

Hot plates and refrigerators in their cells. Yep. And TVs.

I know, no bashing LE. I'm not. I'm merely sharing what is no longer going to be going on at CCF (Clinton Correctional Facility). Moving on...

  • #756
No, I don't believe prisoners have TVs in their cells. Maybe in a common area day room, but not inside the cells! What are they, mini man caves? I'm not buying it. Although I did read about mini refrigerators. I hope govt funds aren't paying for these "extra features."

"Q:I know that they can have TV's in Clinton, but how do I go about ordering one for him, do I just order one from PC Richards or something.

A:I sent him the money and he ordered from the vendor that they approved for the TV's. You can call inmate accounts; but I am not sure what information they will release. you send him the money and he buys the TV from them. "

  • #758
Yeah, this is common regarding TV in cells.

Think that's unbelieveable, should we discuss skiing and bobsledding outside in winter?

"The northern climate was responsible for several of Clinton's unique programs. Until tuberculosis was apparently vanquished in the 1960's, Clinton served as the Department's TB treatment center. And winter recreational activities in the North Yard--skiing, ski jumping and bobsledding have struck observers as so incongruous in a prison that they have been featured in privately produced documentary films. "

http://www.prisontalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=82943

Perhaps that has been changed since the time this was written though, it reads like a history of the prison so that is very possible.

Anyway, sorry, I"m just enjoying being able to post easily in a timely manner today for a refreshing change. :)
But no news is bad news in this case, IMO, and I wish there was something new out there to discuss today. Ah well. May have to actually get on with my day sooner or later here.
