It would have been nice if they could have been captured. But if someone has to die, Id rather it be them than some cop that has a wife and kids at home that is only out doing his job.

Yes, Matt and Sweat were together when Matt was shot, a tweet 2 pages ago or so said that from MSM.

These guys had "to life" sentences. IMO it is what it is.

I'm surprised they stayed together. To me that means they were worried about actual basic survival because wouldn't it make more sense to split up?

being caught on camera with a shotgun in your hand is pretty amazing in the wild. Technology can fight crime. Thanks to all the hunters, the woman that heard a knock on her door last night, and the guy with the camper today. The police were not kidding when they said they were really depending on the public's help. The tenacity of the Police is truly amazing as well, hope everyone ends up safe on this one. Can Sweat be charged with Matt's death? How about Tilly? Just wondering.

The news seems real sketchy so far. I am wondering if he was spotted or not today.

Dunno. But I think that they have evidence that the 2 were still together, so they are presuming that Sweat is in the vicinity, too. They only mentioned Matt's DNA from the cabin, though. JMO

Exactly. This happened because "good" ole' Joyce and possibly others let them escape -- no, make that assisted and engineered their escape.
Thank god no more innocent lives have been taken. How terrible of them to put law enforcement in this situation, to have to kill someone so that other innocents will not die instead.
I will not weep over the death of a convicted murderer who in his last moments point a shotgun at the police ; and if Matt chose to 'go out' in this fashion, so be it.

Instead I have tears in my eyes for the 37 dead in Tunisia, the man who was decapitated in France, and the people who were at prayer in Kuwait. So much heartache today for those wounded and those who have lost beloved friends and family members !

It's a huge relief that neither le nor civilians are dead and one of these criminals can no longer murder anyone. I hope they catch Sweat SOON !
That Matt is now deceased is due to the actions of Matt and Sweat themselves ; as well as those who helped them. If both of them had stayed and served out their sentences, they'd still be alive !
There is no one to blame in this , other than the escapees and those who enabled them.
