Is he permitted to sell his story? The state of NY needs to allow him to tell it, sell it and confiscate the funds for the search.

Pretty sure convicts can't profit from their crimes.

Yeah, pretty silly to think that was done with a hacksaw. What does you husband think was used to make those cuts? A cutting torch? Could that be done from the inside, or were the cuts made from the outside?

The cuts do seem to have been done from the inside. He didn't say what he thought was used but the other day when talking about it, I think he mentioned a plasma cutter which is a small unit but makes very neat cuts. He has gone to the store for me right now but when he comes back I will ask him again.

Well the state of NY could sell the inside version of the story, I'm sure that's going to be just as interesting as Matt/Sweat's side of the story. Dang this could be a mini-series.

How close to 511 Poplar was he when he was shot? Anyone know about that? obsessing about IK's house at 511 Poplar.

According to some on Twitter, Sweat was caught very close to the same area of IK cabin.
One person said that he was caught on the "McDonald's farm property".

And this tweet from a couple of hours ago says on Poplar Rd and 122.

Am I the only one who is angry that Sweat has tens if not hundreds of people fawning all over him tending to his needs? Is he wrapped up tight in a cozy blanket having nurses check his vitals, give him pain meds, feed him ice chips, soon to be bringing him a warm meal? It makes me furious to think of people taking care of him!! I wish he had not survived, (except for the fact that the officer doesn't have to have any angst about having killed a person).

I thought it was federal law that prohibits that but if it isn't then it's NY law. Criminals profiting off their crime like that I mean. But I'm not a lawyer and could be wrong, that could be something that was changed or something.

I just don't understand why. Two weeks ago he went on CNN claiming Sweat and Matt were two of the guys who shoplifted the down jacket store in Canada. Then yesterday his wife claimed they had already killed or captured Sweat on Friday. These two need to go home. JMO

A lot of things LE knew all along that none of us knew will probably come out now.

They knew if they kept the pressure up it would drive him out of the woods into the open. There he tried to hide in plain sight. He probably had his hoodie up and was trying to walk along nonchalantly like an ordinary citizen.

I think they eyed him really well before going in to stop him. They knew the size and build was right and he probably was walking like he was very tired and fatigued.

He could have followed Poplar Street north, staying in tree cover, but when he got to the Coveytown Road Intersection, he had to come out into the open -- there's no continuous forest on the north side of the intersection.

Yeah you're seeing my conversation with the woman who told me about the McDonald farm LOL
I'm the one going on about IK's property. If it goes mainstream Ill be why, Ive been badgering people for about 2 hours now anyway maybe a bit longer.

So CNN just said there's only 2 houses in this whole area, both are right by this field. So it stands to reason that IK's house is right by this field. But I don't know yet, gotta check my map in satellite view for the same barn they just showed on CNN to know for sure.

Unbelievable. Sweat wasn't within the perimeter! Thankfully no one was hurt except the criminals. Grateful for all the law enforcement people who have been diligently searching for these past weeks - heroes!!

If he'd made it another mile north, he'd have had deep forest cover, all the way to Canada.
