I'd like to know if Richard Darress was married to the widow until her death and then went to mexico after her death possibly fearing he might be arrested. Just seems odd he went to a country he couldn't be extradited from and when he moved back he stayed close to the border
Mexico will refuse extradition if the death penalty is involved. You can be extradited from Mexico, we've had extradition relationships with Mexico since the the 19th century. It's reputation as a safe haven for criminals is not because people can't be extradited, but rather they're harder to find... which isn't the case here since Darress's location was known.
Hmm if this was a missing mom, who “just walked out” and dad remarried shortly after, it would be clear who is the suspect. I dont think this is any different. Likely mom had an affair and her lover killed dad while doing basement work and conveniently buried him there. Went as savior to the poor “deserted” woman and her kids and married her.For anyone who may be interested in watching the new documentary about the search for George Carroll and how his children were able to gain closure after he was found buried in the basement of the family home after 55 years.
ID’s THE SECRETS WE BURY premieres Tuesday, December 16 at 9/8c on ID and will be available to stream on HBO Max.
