The Livingston County Sheriff's Office is looking for a 21-year-old Liecester woman who hasn't been seen since 7 p.m. Thursday.

Starlitta Smith, 21, has special needs and is described as 5 feet, 5 inches tall, weighing about 120 pounds, with brown eyes and short brown hair. According to officials, she was last seen wearing blue jeans, a pink pullover, white sneakers and was carrying two blankets.

She is known to frequent the Genesse Valley Greenway Trail near Mount Morris.
Deputies are using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), K-9 teams, investigators and patrol resources in the search for Smith.

Sheriff begs anyone with information on missing Leicester woman to come forward-looking

Search efforts continued Wednesday in Livingston County for a missing Leicester woman with special needs.

Twenty-one-year-old Starrlita Smith left her Perry Road home Monday night around 7 p.m. A driver may have spotted her near Jones Bridge Road around 7:30 p.m. Monday, deputies say, but she hasn't been seen since.

The search is being conducted as if a child were missing because Starrlita Smith of Leicester is known to operate at about the level of a 6- to 12-year-old.
"She is 21 years of age but she functions at a much younger age than that …typically (she is) under constant supervision," Dougherty said. He said her parents were having a private conversation when she went out the side door at 7 p.m. Monday.

[h=1]Missing Livingston County woman located in garage of family's home[/h]

Starr was found in the garage of her home. At a news conference Thursday night, Dougherty said it was not yet clear if she was in garage for all three days she was missing, or if she wandered off and came back home.

They are still investigating whether or not someone may have picked her up, or if she was wandering along.
