In looking back through this thread, I was glad to see that in post #54 a poster mentioned they had sent in a suggestion that Oved Duarte may be this UID. No followup word on if they heard back or not. But still, the more people who resend or send in him as a possible, the better chance to get word back.
IMO since Mia according to reports was known to wear female clothes, that she isn't this UID, and the LE artist's sketch doesn't look similar. Plus the height. JMO.What about Mia Santiago? A 16-year old transgender (MtF) woman who vanished from Brooklyn in '05. Height is a bit off, but the timeline lines up well.
Wow, I wrote to the contact person on Namus today to suggest Oved Duarte and Ronny Pineda as possibles for this case, and they already wrote back! Here is the response:

The remains found on the side of the road near Mariner's Marsh Park could have belonged to a young man who looked like this.
''Adams said it appears the young man had been stabbed to death.
"There were numerous linear marks on some of the ribs and areas of the torso that resulted from sharp force trauma," Adams said.''
According to Adams, they believe the victim was approximately 17 years old and was most likely Asian.
Adams showed Eyewitness News the clothing that was found with the remains, which include boots, a sweater with the words "Baseball 01" and a shirt that says, "All-Star Cheerleader."
''Adams said they thought at first the young man may have been involved in cheerleading, but they found out that the t-shirt may have been mass-produced and eventually donated to local thrift stores.
He said they also found a wallet in the man's pants, but all it contained was a small calendar. The calendar was from 2005.''
"Could this guy have been there from 2005 to 2021?" Adams said. "Absolutely."
''In fact, Adams said the remains were so skeletonized that the skull had rolled away from the rest of the body and roots from the nearby plants had grown through the bones and clothes. Adams and his team had to carefully remove the skeleton from the roots.''

Now that we have the clay likeness of the UID and that he is most likely hispanic or asian, I don't think missing caucasian teen Oved Duarte is a possible anymore IMO. But we did submit his name to LE as a possible, so they do have it anyways. And the other name we had sent in is still a possible, Ronny Sosa Pineda, from Michigan, who left the Wedgewood Youth Facility January 18, 2006 and among other things, was wearing Timberland boots (so was the UID in question).

i dont know if i had just not seen the calendar pic before, but i didnt have a mental image of it. seeing these pics, i see that it's just one of the things that probably came in the wallet when he bought it. since nothing else was found in it, i get the sense not much was kept in it to begin with ... that calendar card probably would have been swapped out for an ID or credit card or personal photo. and honestly, that wallet looks pretty nice given that it sat in the elements for a long long time. my husband's wallet is battered and creased from constant use after less than a year.
From what I understood
the calendar was an indication of when the UID dated from. I think the other wallet items would've been removed by the perp. IMO

I don't know really, possible either way.
I see some similarities but being David Cambray was in a gang in LA, the clothes found with the UID don't seem like the kind that David would be wearing. Plus it says that he was born in Mexico, lived there before LA, and Namus also said he left with two other guys, and it was thought they headed to Mexico. i just wonder if that is really accurate. seeing that it is something that comes in the wallet vs something he added in, it is less of a given to me that he died some time in 2015... just today i was at a thrift store and saw a wallet that was not used and had a calendar from 2018 in it.
