New York State Police announced Monday the vehicle of the Irondequoit man was found abandoned an Oneonta parking lot on October 23. The missing man, 53-year-old Steven Kassirer, has no ties to the Oneonta area. Troopers say they do not know why his vehicle was in the Oneonta area. Authorities note Kassirer is originally from Massachusetts.

He was last seen by his family in Irondequoit on Saturday, Oct. 20 and was reportedly traveling home from his father’s funeral. On Thursday, Oct. 25, his car was found in Oneonta. Kassirer has no ties to the area and troopers do not know yet why the car was left in the area.
