Could well be-at that time, unwed pregnancy was still a subject of shame-maybe they got engaged when she became pregnant, and after abortion, he wanted out, which would or could not have been the cause of the fight they had. I'd like to know how the glasses were returned to the family?

Poster stated that fiancee did not return Sylvia's glasses to her family (#105).

Timeline:

September 6, 1975:

6 PM: Sylvia reportedly last seen by fiance after leaving his vehicle at K-Mart Plaza/Richmond; near The Island Theatre, 2875 Richmond Ave, 10314

That's about it.

Hope we are able to fill in more on this

Thanks so much for that insight, that would be quite depressing, but for some reason I'm feeling there was more for her to be depressed about? Could be wrong, been wrong before. Like its something more life changing, is it possible that because she wouldn't speak to her father they also had some sort of argument and he asked her to move out? (I had three kids, :) some arguments can get pretty hairy and sometimes things are said that we don't mean). Just some thoughts.

She was so young
I took things quite to heart at that age
It was years before a grew a shell

Its hard to say what was going on in her life

I understand that she may have been upset with her dad, but there was also an argument with the fiancee
Of course, the prior problem could have affected her mood

Was it a rocky relationship, volatile?

An adult with no means of support or place to live wouldn't run off to parts unknown over something like that and never contact the mother or siblings again, in my humble opinion. But it could cause her to be in an aggravated state, and easily overwrought. I wonder if her general state of mind at that time was the catalyst for a fight with the fiance?

We must accept the following postulates as true.

A. There had been a fight between Sylvia Lwowski and Fiance the night she vanished.

B. Sylvia Lwowski did NOT runaway. That crap goes right out the window.

C. The time between when fiance picked her up, and when he returned is critical - we can determine , or at least discount ideas, as to what exactly he did with her.

D. The current contacts at the police department and FBI - Stratford, Savage etc... have been very open and understadning into trying to help out and find answers. Detective Lennon has not. Would not even reply to friendly note that suimply asked to confrim if was indeed that Detective Lennon listed on the police report. His refusal to be professional and to respond - is suspicious.

E. We'll be finding more answers - because we have a good bunch - some of the best - if not THe best.

I agree - if I were to reasonably speculate with common sense - Sylvia Lwowski most likely informed BF of pregnancy - and her desire to keep the baby.

We must put ourselves in one;s shoes - one who is suddenly faced with this - as a male. Given the history - BF was not too keen on the idea. This had to of caused friction - argument, and he most likely snapped, cause damage -= and knew he had crossed a line - and that he would have to either
a. deal with the collaterla damage - face embarassment, and humiliation.

of

b. Keep going - and make his life much, much easier. With contacts in the police force (advises will not handle- bizarre), this would be a plus - to proceed with b.

I think it was B.

I don't believe I offered to make a map! I am a Luddite, and a relative late-comer to technology (lol)! A map would help, I agree, but we need a timeline, first

Ha, sorry about that J-Mo! Sort of put you on the spot - maybe it was epiphany! Either way, we will get that map... its dodgy days are over... soon... i hope!

Respectfully referring to C ^ above.

So you are saying that Sylvia was picked up from her parents' home on Goodall St. by her fiancee. A fact.

At what time?

And you are also stating that Sylvia's fiance returned to either her parents' home or to his parents' home?

Which and at what time?

This (c) , along with the true details re: glasses, the status/features of the relationship at the time ( or historically, if releveant) are the open questions I will b e looking to secure shortly. Thanks!!!

Have we elicited any map people yet> ? ;-)

Yes if we could confirm or dismiss the possible pregnancy that would be even better. I CAN imagine.....you are engaged, the BF doesn't want that responsibility even thought a wedding at some time in the future is planned, now you either have to get married, abort the child, or keep the child and tell your parents who you are living with if you plan to keep the child. All of this would be depressing but I agree with you that I don't think she just up and left the situation.

One one of the other threads I am involved in we have a poster by the name of Otto, he is excellent when it comes to posting maps, I sent him a PM asking for his help. He said tomorrow he will try to come on this thread and see if he can help. He will need a TIME line and LOCATIONS though to get a good idea if that is something that we can put together here.

I wonder how long they had been going together before they announced their engagement?
Also I wonder, what time was the movie starting (the one they never saw)? ...and what time he picked her up to take her to the movies, did they stop somewhere to eat first?

Exactly

He picked her up at home
But by six, she had"run from the car"

Unless it was a matinee.. the time frame is tight

I wonder how long they were together before they argued
It could have been an ongoing disagreement, rather than an off the wall misunderstanding

Does anyone Know the name of the band she was in?

All I see in the announcement is she was a member of the Tau Beta Sigma National Band society

In an article I couldn't open, a Sylvia Lwowski was in the cast of a musical(school) as well

Sounds like a very talented young lady

Ok thanks :) I was thinking it was a "pop" band. Yes, it does sound like she was talented, seems like the BF was also involved in the same band. At least that is what I get from reading the Engagement Announcement, eyes are bad lol, he was also some kind of music instructor, maybe they met when she went to college?

Hope we are able to fill in more on this

Breaker Breaker I of III

X. Sylvia Lwowski and her bf did not live together.

XI. Details remain unclear re glasses, but there is nothing foggy, hazy, or misty about the following statements:
XII. BF picked up Sylvia Lwowski at 5>30 p.m. (at her home) - the two were going to see a film - start time between 6.15 - 7 p.m.

XIII. Sylvia Lwowski and her bf were dating each other for about eighteen to twenty-four months prior to the event. (The following is an opinion: Not really a long time. Heck, I dated my last girlfriend for 4.5 years, and it all seems like nothing... we broke up in the end - sorry if flirting with OT).

XIV. BF returned to Sylvia's parents house (her house) at 10:30 p.m [....::::: WINDOW...:::::...] [:::::::.....WINDOW.....:::::::] [::::ESTABLISHED....::::::...]

Xv. Upon hearing this - Sylvia Lwowski's mom jumped in her car - and cruised up to the mall. She was driving arounf and around , and around that Mall area/section in order to possibly find Sylvia. {NOTE: Isn't this odd - why isn't the bf doing this -or at least following - helping out, pitching in - representing a positive force.

After looking at the 3 pictures of her that are available, I noticed that she wasn't wearing glasses in any of them. I wonder if the glasses were just sunglasses or something.
