I am really surprised that some of her friends from college are not on here asking questions.

I REC'D A NOTIFICATION VIA FACEBOOK... that portal - if we can earn some from cultivation - will synergize persons- groups- smart linking. SO soe there, too. Check class mates... that will get us some great info. YOu introduce a great reflection Skeeeter - SYLVIA LWOWSKI probably had a nuch of pals. We have one of her best, who has been so valuable to this WS thread. They are out there -- and soon the e-mail will arrive...

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

--Really good point about secrets – who else, and who else knows what happened to her?

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

--Back up thread, a VI said the golf course would be one place they would search for a body, so I am guessing no official search was conducted. If Sylvia was not classified as “endangered missing”, would LE have searched for her? --Another question on the list of questions…

Too big a secret to share - and a protagonist would have 5% chance of going that way.

The 4.5 window is one of our keys - I think is an important element. The other party could have returned to inform in 70 minutes... or possibly just, only 90 minutes. This 4.5 hour gap may speak volumes if we can track it down.

I know most of you know "The Ice Man," Philip Carlo's book, released last night, in film adaptation delivery. M. Shannon is a good actor - but looks sloppy.

<<<< Common Properties >>>>>>

Kuklinski, who probably killed 100+ people, would charge $38,000 to do a joib (in his prime, when he was peaking and used cyanide spray. He would use a blad to slice the tire -and when the unknowing victim gets out to look- that is when he strikes).

He was from Staten Island and the five families used him interchangeably although he spent alot of time with Gambino Capo Roy Demeo, the guy who would drasin bodies in his tub. Gotti and Demeo didn’t like each other. Everyone loved the Ice Man, and he claims his favorite spot... the location he preferred to use... due to its desolate and remote position in nature... a nice spot...a perfect spot...had been somewhere in the rocky realm of Bucks County Pa.

Credit Card statements? Any gas station purchases via plastic?
I know - we wish... and this will be far more difficult.

If anyone knows Pa - off 80 or roads like PA... you know rocky lands create the wall for those roads.

Iceman would drive - tie them up - slice a spot os use peanut butter ( remember the guy from long Island tried to do that on Long Island? <to dispose of the terminated body.. Kuklinski, whose career could be considered successfully long and lucky by people in parts unknown, would let the rats eat the victim until termination.

Sorry to ramble on, but the good news is we have momentum and more participation is welcome - feel free to speak your mind...mega.

We will get this case investigated prudently and expose any illegal, unacceptable, incredible misconduct.

p.s.: anyone notice the tie juan martinez wore during his big day? (day one of closing argument)

Who could one tell a secret like this to, and know the secret is safe? If a person got themself into big trouble, like say, strangling their betrothed, would that person be safe going to their parents? I guess it would depend on what kind of people the parents were-mine would call the police. But what if you had a family that wouldn't let you go to jail, no matter what you did? Then that would be a secret that is safe forever-just ruminating, though...no idea what actually happened here

:::::::::::::::::::...................................::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

>>>>>>>>>>>>> Yes, good thinking ... you see... don't be shy Mega-Sleuth's ( any one hear from Dushi - she doing o.k.? ) the genius pool is UNBOUND... let us filler up [ I know, you are now collectively thinking to yourselves: "Gee, he sure does like to use that word... "Unbound." He's annoying." ]

.................::::Point of Intrigue::::..........................
The five families would call in " The Russian," or "Karate Pitera," or "Johnny Boy Gotti," and "The Ice Man," (internally, they would call him the Pollack, which they were smart enough not say around him, because he would most likely kill anyone who muttered it in his presence) because:

a. It was someone - a certain person who needed to be termed by a specific counter-party due to political reasons.
b. They could afford to pay the cost for their services. In "The Ice Man's" case - $25,000.00 and we know from earlier what he charged as he got wealthier and began to peak
c. It is less stressful to have to do the deed when you can just pay $1,000 to $5,000 to a petty thief, or a street criminal- hungry, or a young cadet who needed to "MAKE HIS BONES," AND qualify.

An alluring possibility... if we explore it as an alternative.

4.5 hours... a hired gun.

Hypothetical:
1. "He ran off at the stop sign. Yeah, that stop sign over by Kingfisher Lane and Carlton Court (cough)," Monica said. With her right hand, she briskly wiped her forehead. Just in time... before the beads of sweat pooled and slide down here face.

2. "Where? Oh, I thought we went over this. Yeah, no problem, it was at the red-light. We hit a red-light on Deerwood Road. That was it, Deerwood," Monica said.

3. "Oh, yes I get that a lot. It's the darned-est thing. Well, I was driving and I remember the sun was setting because I had the fin-shield down so I could see the flow of traffic. We were stopped... it was Wrenshall Street... a train was passing through and the gates were lowered. That's when he threw his glasses on my dashboard and ran-off," Monica continued, calmly.

<<end of hypothetical>>

I just can't believe this...

So in this hypothetical, is this what Monica told police, do they have it in a report, one that all the players in this hypothetical can see.

I believe he means that "monica" first told the family that he ran off at a light, then told the police that he ran off at a stop sign, then finally told a private investigator that he ran off while they were in traffic-remember?

 • #465
It didn't dawn on me before, but I can't picture there being any stop signs on Richmond Avenue itself anywhere near the mall. It would be unlikely on such a busy street, I think there were only traffic lights.

I kind of remember, ....I was trying to find out if any of those statement were written in a police report, otherwise it is hearsay (unfortunately) even if "Monica" told the family one thing, then told the police another, then once again lied and told the PI another we have no proof. Of course we can not get proof from the family but the police should have record of the statement, if one was even taken.

Yes, only traffic lights on Rich. Ave. Only Stop signs were leading out of the parking lot either North on Rich Ave. or out of the Parking lot onto the side road. Platinum Ave? or the road behind the mall.

Feeling punk these past two weeks, with SL's birthday last week and missing all the people that used to be in my life. Having a pity party for one! Think I'm coming out of it now.

Thanks for keeping the thread going.....

I wondered whether or not the police actually spoke to "Monica" but then when this hypothetical surfaced, I realized that they must have , and gotten this ridiculous tale.

I wonder how many people knew she was missing in 1975. Was it suppressed? -Was there another reason for no publicity desired on the PR? There is more than one page to the PR, …imo.

What did Chandler do after he found out what Monica said?

Riddles, ridiculous, rubbish. Talking in codes.

Gibberish.

Yes it would be nice to know if Mr. Ci gave a statement to police, and if so how we can get a copy.

-Another really good point. The mis-en-scene of the hypothetical #462 reads like a script for a student film at the NY Film academy. –With a hefty serving of shameless self-promotion on the side that feels like a mockery for the sake of drama. --As if this story is not tragic enough? --Not dramatic enough?

What purpose would it serve when we already know from a VI that there was another location variation of her leaving from the PI? And why should I believe any of it? And who else, in all seriousness, is going to touch this conversation?

Reward or no reward, somebody knows something and if the pieces don’t fit some kind of serious effort to obtain discovery, guidance and wisdom from expert investigative counsel should be sought. …imo

I think the cold case squad still has the case, and I think that means that we can't see anything but the initial police report.

I called everyone I had a number for from grammar/high school and told them to pass the word back in '75. My family also passed it on by word of mouth. To my knowledge it was the only way the word got out. Nothing public.

Hi everyone

been a busy week for me, but all is sunshine and roses

Just going back through the thread so forgive me if I have missed something...

Reward? Where are we with that?

 • #478
If this case is in the hands of a cold case detective, but very little or no original investigation was done, what would there be to work with?

I am curious what could be uncovered all of these years later
I strongly feel there is at least one person out there who knows every detail, but why would that person talk now?

Just playing devils advocate here...

 • #479
So much more is known now than when we all started.
We have our VIs to thank for that

Hopefully there is someone out there who has read about Sylvia, someone in a position to help...

I also would like to say, like Jmoose and several others, this case has grabbed me.
I check in several times a day and will continue to do so
Miracles happen

That is where I'm at. It isn't like you could search BF/F's car now, for example. Oh, why didn't those detectives in 1975 find something useful for the cold case squad??

If the perpetrator wasn't one of the local serial killers, then it's better than even odds (in my opinion) that there were two people who know or knew what happened to Sylvia, or she would likely have been found by now. This thought includes either disappearing by own free will or not.
