The news update on CTV said that the prosecutor in this trial accused the defendant of threatening her children and said that he had admitted to killing two others (if I heard it right.)I went to the CTV site but there was nothing on it.

Why isn't CTV covering this trial??

I heard that too, LisaFremont! I don't know anything about the case, but it really perked my attention when I heard about his threatening the DA's kids and stuff. I wonder what will happen with this? Makes me want to become more knowledgeable about the case. Keep us posted if you hear any more.

The accusation from the DA is that he admitted to two people that he was involved in this crime. Not that he killed two people.

PROSECUTOR: PELOSI MADE THREATS

by Robin Topping

Moments before lawyers were about to give opening statements in the Daniel Pelosi murder trial, Suffolk prosecutor Janet Albertson rose to deliver startling news to a packed courtroom in Riverhead.

With the jury waiting to be brought in, she said she had just learned of tape recordings in which Pelosi, while in jail, made "direct admissions" to the murder of millionaire Theodore Ammon. Pelosi had also "conspired" to intimidate and harm witnesses, "expressed a desire" to tamper with a juror, and threatened Albertson's own children, she said.....

PELOSI 'PLOT' VS. DA

by Kieran Crowley

September 30, 2004 -- The Ted Ammon murder trial came to a screeching halt yesterday when a prosecutor made stunning claims that accused killer Danny Pelosi was caught on tape threatening her two children, plotting to intimidate a juror — and even admitting to the slaying.
The bombshell allegations postponed opening arguments and could lead to a mistrial.

Suffolk County prosecutor Janet Albertson's allegations that Pelosi had been caught on jailhouse tapes as recently as last weekend confessing to the 2001 murder of millionaire Ammon drew gasps in the courtroom.

Despite allegations made in court this week that Daniel Pelosi admitted to killing millionaire Theodore Ammon, jury tampering and other crimes, prosecutors will most likely use only the statements pertaining to the murder in his ongoing trial, Suffolk District Attorney Thomas Spota said Thursday.

Spota cautioned that any ruling on the evidence must come from State Supreme Court Justice Robert W. Doyle, the judge on the murder case, and other prosecutors must concur with his opinion. But, he said, since the new evidence is technically not part of the murder case against Pelosi, "I don't think we could introduce the new crimes."....

PELOSI DEMANDS: DELETE MY JAILHOUSE CONFESSION

BY ROBERT GEARTY and BILL HUTCHINSON
DAILY NEWS STAFF WRITERS

Long Island electrician Danny Pelosi is accusing prosecutors of stomping on his constitutional rights by using a jailhouse snitch to secretly record him making alleged admissions to murder.
Pelosi's attorney said he will file papers today asking a Suffolk County judge to block prosecutors from using the 40 hours of recorded chats as evidence. "This is an unprecedented and unconstitutional invasion of the defense camp," Pelosi's attorney, Gerald Shargel, said yesterday....

October 5, 2004

Daniel Pelosi told two inmates at the Suffolk County jail that he had beaten a man to death, breaking his bones in various places, and said to one of them, "If I had known what I know today, I would have just shot him," according to statements submitted to Pelosi's trial judge by prosecutors.

One statement, by former inmate Clayton Moultrie of Riverhead, also says Pelosi asked for help in knocking the teeth out of other inmates cooperating with prosecutors, saying he would pay him "$100 per tooth."

Tired 'killer' Danny's complaint: jailhouse snitch
by Kieran Crowley

A jailhouse informant who told prosecutors Danny Pelosi boasted of Ted Ammon's murder said the accused killer complained the bludgeon slaying was such hard work, he "should have just put one in his head."
Crackhead and small-time criminal Clayton Moultrie said Pelosi made a number of incriminating and threatening statements in the "bullpen" inside the Suffolk County Jail in Riverhead last month, according to a written statement Moultrie gave to Suffolk DA Thomas Spota's office.

The 39-year-old Riverhead man said Pelosi also threatened witnesses set to testify against him, calling them "dead meat" and claimed to have arranged "a bloodbath" for them. He said Pelosi offered the former inmate $100 for each tooth he knocked out of any prosecution witnesses' mouths....

Get ready for a parade of jailhouse snitches - including one who says Danny Pelosi admitted beating Wall Street financier Ted Ammon to death with a bat.

BY ROBERT GEARTY and BILL HUTCHINSON

The attorney for Long Island electrician Danny Pelosi blasted prosecutors yesterday for going "bottom fishing" in the Suffolk County jail to bolster their murder case.
The stinging swipe from the defense came as the names emerged of four more jailhouse snitches, all with similar stories of Pelosi admitting he killed Wall Street banker Ted Ammon.

"'I'm in here for beaten [sic] a man to death,'" inmate Raul Gonzalez quotes Pelosi in a sworn written statement. ...
