Wasn’t he supposedly there for a medical procedure? What business does he do in Pakistan, the country he fled from bc he was accused of murder?

If he’s really willing and able to come back and make things right, he would already be here. And if it’s heart is broken, it’s probably just because he isn’t going to rake in those sweet six figure dollars for being an informant and he isn’t going to be able to continue make a living ripping people off, in the US at least (hopefully) JMO

If he can afford to live in Dubai, he is doing just fine.

Since they have wills I think it’s likely they would have life insurance... IME wills are more complicated/expensive to do than get a life insurance policy so hopefully they have insurance too.

The owner is out of the country. I kind of doubt that he will be charged anyway. Since he is apparently not involved in the day to day operation of the company.

They should drag in any and everybody who allowed this to happen. The owner, his son, and the State of NY for not having either speed bumps, or flashing yellow lights with warnings of the stop ahead, esp in light of the fact that there was a history of numerous accidents at the same spot. The loss of 20 lives, the devastation to the families and those orphaned children...because of greed and negligence.

I don’t doubt that. My point was he’s probably upset the gig is up with being an informant and making six figures for doing so. He seems to have made quite a lot of money during his time in the US. I’m sure he’ll just continue to scam people wherever he ends up though.

I read it was 50 mph, but that certainly could of/should of been changed. Make it a 40 mph road which slows to 15 mph with speed bumps way before the intersection, along with signage along the way and a yellow flashlight. I bet they’ll do something now.

I don't think it matters in this case. Everyday people used that road, within the confines of the law, without incident. These people were going to have an accident with these decrepit vehicles, sketchy drivers, government sanctioned negligence, and utter and complete disregard for human life, somewhere eventually.

They should have named their company the, "Take Your Chances" Limo service!

Yes. Speed bumps would likely not have helped a 8000 pound vehicle with bad breaks barreling down a 7% incline. Might have actually caused the vehicle to roll

I have driven on roads in hilly & mountain areas east coast, ny,pa,va, have had an intersection here and there that appeared quicker than expected, although was always was able to stop.
Most have sections of cuts/grooves in the aspault as a warning, (they get my attention).

From reading about the signage on the road seems appropriate, but it only takes a second to miss a sign. If looking in rearview or sideview mirror a sign can be missed.

I think there will be multipy reasons for this avoidable tragedy.
