A nurse practitioner whose lifeless body was found dumped behind a bush near a Queens expressway was pregnant, the victim’s horrified father said Monday.

Vanessa Pierre, 29, of Hempstead, L.I. was just three months from delivering what would have been Herlin Pierre’s grandchild, a girl, just like his daughter, he said.

The body of the pregnant mom was found face-down on Horace Harding Expressway near Bell Blvd. in Bayside around 6 a.m. Friday, and cops said surveillance video captured a suspect dumping her remains.

Going by the clothes she was wearing it seems it would have happened in her home. She wasn't dressed for going out. Hope the video surveillance identifies the perpetrator. It's getting very dangerous to be a young pregnant woman these days. Should be one of the happiest times of your life. MOO

District Attorney Katz said: “We achieved justice for Vanessa. The verdict does not bring her back, but it holds her killer accountable. We will be asking the court to send the defendant to prison for a very long time for the brutality and callousness he showed in murdering and abandoning the lifeless body of his girlfriend, the woman who was to be the mother of his child.”

Charles, 33, of Rochelle Court in Uniondale, was convicted yesterday of murder in the second degree. He faces 25 years to life in prison. Queens Supreme Court Justice Kenneth Holder set sentencing for November 29th.

A Long Island man who was caught on video dumping his pregnant girlfriend’s lifeless body on the side of an expressway in Queens was sentenced on Wednesday to 25 years to life in prison for the merciless killing.

Prosecutors asked that Goey Charles, 33, get the maximum sentence due to the “brutality of the crime” and his “remorseless discarding of the lifeless body of his girlfriend, the woman who was soon to be the mother of his child,” Queens District Attorney Melina Katz said in a release.
