GUILTY NY - Wake Forest asst. basketball coach Jamill Jones arrested in fatal assault of New York tourist

Former Wake Forest assistant men's basketball coach Jamill Jones was sentenced Thursday to three years of probation after he fatally punched a man in New York City in August 2018.

Jones also was fined $1,000 and must complete 1,500 hours of community service.

A misdemeanor?

Exactly my own thoughts.

There was a case in Florida a few years ago where the same thing happened.

That suspect was charged, and convicted of 2nd degree murder.

A misdemeanor charge is ridiculous, but nothing surprises me anymore when it comes to the criminal justice system in NY.
