NY - Woman abducted in Toyota minivan, photo stills, Brooklyn, 21 Apr 2023 *resolved*

If she was happy to see him or okay with being picked up, it seemed to me that she would put her arm around his neck. She has her arms and hands drawn in; a reflex one might have if feeling fear. These still pics offer us a glimpse of what happened, but I'm assuming police or witnesses saw something more to cause concern. I can't see her face, but her body language is not that of a woman whose friend just playfully and consensually swept her off her feet. MOO

The way he holds his arms out does not seem threatening to me, and LE themselves state that she wasn't struggling, as if she knew the suspect. So why call it a kidnapping? Why the facial blurring?

is there something in his right hand tho? LE would divulge that I suppose

The image is poor quality, but it looks like there is something (?) in the passenger seat of the van. I can't tell if maybe it is the head of someone hunched over in the passenger seat or if it is an object of some kind, but it definitely doesn't look like a person sitting normally in the seat as the headrest and most of the back of the seat are visible.

I upped the contrast & brightness so it's easier to see:

Are those NYPD cameras on the pole?

They would have caught the act perfectly, directly adjacent to the the crosswalk where it happened.
Yes, those are NYPD cameras at the intersection of 27th Avenue & Stillwell Avenue.

Was she sleepwalking? So weird!

Why is her face blurred? Might be easier to recognize her rather than him, especially if he is not a local.

Exactly.
Unblur her face so people can recognize her and help find her !

It does look like they are familiar. Could it be she's entrapped working in some sort of gang situation? She made a run for it and he took her back.

What is she wearing under that skirt, PJ bottoms, sweats?

I personally don’t think it’s a skirt it looks like white joggers and she has a denim jacket tied around waist

I don't think so, besides being the actual description issued by LE. A shirt tied around the waist, wouldn't have stayed in position like that while he's carrying her. KWIM?

This is frustrating.
It makes no sense to say a woman has been kidnapped and then not show her face ?
What's the point ?

Don't laugh--could they be leg warmers?

That actually makes a lot of sense to me, a blue skirt (possibly with leggings underneath) and then the white legwarmers on top.

Did he incapacitate her? Not fighting back... because she couldn't fight back?

Are they blurring her face because of an injury they aren't reporting? Clocked her with the butt end of a gun, for example, but dint want to release that detail just yet?

I agree with everyone -- alarming and confusing.
