Staten Island mom, 43, was fatally stabbed saving daughter from brawl, source says

Jennira Roundtree was stabbed trying to protect her daughter from an altercation with teens over a social media post, source says.

Jennira Roundtree was mortally wounded Tuesday night outside the West Brighton Houses apartment complex at 820 Henderson Ave., according to police.

A 30-year-old neighbor told The Daily News that a group of girls picked a fight with Roundtree’s pre-teen daughter — prompting the mom to jump to her defense.
