OCSO Abandons Hope To Find Caylee Alive

  • #21
They should have included in this that the A's are not telling investigators everything they know. I personally need to hear this from LE and not a reporter.

I'm pretty surprised they admitted that publicly! Not very smart at all.

And you can be sure the defense will use that in court to 'prove' LE didn't want to find Caylee.

What's in the water down in Orlando???? People don't seem to know when to speak & when to STOP.

Yeah......doesn't make them look like the sharpest tools in the shed.

I would agree. The wording may have been interpreted differently.

"A spokeswoman for Kid Finders has taken issue with recent reports that they have not actually found a missing child. She said they do things to raise awareness like print up fliers and T-shirts and billboards. She said that it is very possible that their efforts have helped find missing children."

That's just who I'd be counting on to find my grandaughter.........yesiree! It's possible that their efforts have helped find missing children???????

Yeah, Mrs. Spokeswoman & it's very possible you'll be looking for a new job very soon.

From the article:
Investigators said they are also concerned that if they continue to follow up on live sightings, it could help Casey Anthony's defense establish reasonable doubt about whether Caylee is deceased.

That's disturbing. I have a hard time believing an investigator would say such a thing to the media.

I don't find it disturbing. It didn't say they would stop searching for a dead Caylee. Maybe they are saying this to get the A's so called tipsters from reporting baloney.

It's possible I'll find gold in the kitty litter..........and about as likely.

Yeah......doesn't make them look like the sharpest tools in the shed.

Considering the seriousness of this case & the charges, you would think they would prepare VERY carefully what they are going to say & stick to an agreed upon 'message.'

They've worked too hard & they are TOO close to a major trial to make STOOPID mistakes like this.

Bet the DA is super-pissed about this.

I think she said if they brought her PROOF Caylee was dead....I take that to mean a body.

Since it would be skeletal, she'd deny that too, and you know, forensics & DNA are hocus pocus, not REAL science.:furious:

You mean to tell me that the incompetence can still surprise you in this case?
That is NOT incompetence on the part of the OCSO. It is stating the facts so maybe the family will "get it". Nothing that OCSO has said or done throughout this entire case has been done without much consideration behind it. Nothing has been released without a reason either. There has been no incompetence on the part of LE or the FBI putting together this case and we will see it first hand when it goes to trial. They have done their job to the letter and with much expertise. Bravo, OCSO!!

She would say: Those are not my granddaughters bones.

That is how it is beginning to look from HERE...:waitasec:
It is so sad that this has happened to Caylee. She was such a sweet little girl, and full of life. I love to watch the You Tube videos of her dancing-those are the best.

I snipped your quote, just for the sake of brevity, not content. You, as well as so many others, are much braver than I. I have not been able to watch a single video of this little girl, as I know it would completely break my heart. Just reading is about all my heart can handle.

I know. I'm a big :chicken:

I'm with you. I can barely look at the pictures, I can't do the videos.

Maybe the A's will believe this, probably not but maybe.
It would seem logical that they would believe this.
Didn't Cindy say she will not believe that Caylee is dead until there is confirmation from LE. Well, this is it.
I also note the last paragraph of this article...
"Investigators said they are also concerned that if they continue to follow up on live sightings, it could help Casey Anthony's defense establish reasonable doubt about whether Caylee is deceased."

And unfortunately I think this is the main reason for the A's continued insistence that Caylee is alive. To cast doubt.

Have they also abandoned all hope to find Caylee's remains?
No, they haven't.

The sheriff's spokesperson said Caylee's body needs to found.

What they are no longer doing is enabling and encouraging false hope which is what the prior "professional language" was doing. That "official speak" was confusing the public. Coming out with the facts in a way that all can understand is not only clearer it is also kinder.

The struggle between the head & the heart must be aweful.

I do believe Caylee is dead at the hands of Casey. I believe Casey put her in the dumpster, Caylee being just another thing that needed to be hauled out to the trash bin so she could start her new life.

I really think in their heads, they all KNOW Caylee is dead & they KNOW Casey is responsible. I think the heart is a whole different matter. No matter how much my head told me she was dead, in my heart, I would hold out all hope. I think that's just human.

The Anthony's know how the dynamics were right before the time Casey & Caylee went missing. They know what they smelled in the car, they know what their first fears were. THEY KNOW. They don't want to admit it b/c to do so means their own child is a monster. I think they will do whatever it takes to protect Casey, even when that means they are not doing what's right for Caylee. Of all people, I think THEY have forgotten this is only about Caylee. Cindy's actions in the very beginning made it all about Casey. Cindy has been a master at taking the focus OFF Caylee & putting it ALL on Casey.

If a body is found or evidence THEY feel is 100%, they may comes to terms with Caylee's death. I do not think they will EVER comes to terms that Casey killed her. Nothing & I mean nothing............ not a confession nor even a video of her doing it, would convince them of her guilt. CIndy will defend or do whatever it is she needs to do even after Casey gets the needle. Cindy will go to her grave never admitting PUBLICALLY Casey killed Caylee.

Denial is often used to protect us for awhile from facing a terrible truth. In Cindy's case, I think denial has nothing to do with that, I think it has everything to do with protecting the perfect image she wants the world to believe is her life. Cindy will never admit to ALL of the family failing Caylee in her short life but also in her death.

Some day, in God's time, be it by accident or by dedicated searchers, Caylee will be found. And when she is, we will all still be here for her, to remember her the way she should be.

For now, I can only hope Casey has very very vivid dreams of that pretty little girls smiles, her innonence & her reaching her little arms up to say " I love you mommy." I hope Casey lives out the rest of her life in a living hell.

I hope you're right, but....I haven't seen any reports of searches being done by LE in a very long time now. They also didn't seem too supportive of LP's search (for whatever reason). Part of LE's statement was that Caylee is dead, and they are "moving on". I just wish they could have mentioned something about what efforts they're currently making to find her remains.
