OFF TOPIC Chit-Chat

the grandfather told everyone "They shot the girls"
I just posted a remark about this statement on the theories thread..
I thought I would say something here also.
Do you think this statement was just something off the top of a shocked GP or parent... Peter.. or is there something deeper here?

If OSBI would just divulge whether the Ps were at home or weren't that day and who was at the house when the girls left, it might shed a lot of light on things.

I think he knew who "THEY" were.

Do you think the kids could have had little cliques out there in the woods? Little gang fights amongst themselves?

This is the conclusion I have come to. I think OSBI is an arrogant organization and the locals in that area and the families involved rank about as high as dirt with them.

I think OSBI is convinced this case could be solved with one phone call. Because that hasn't happened I think OSBI has taken their ball and gone home.

Somebody should send OSBI a copy of Aesop's fable of The North Wind and the Sun.

Hey Albert does this look or sound familar??

Complete silence from LE, and perhaps a deliberate lack of digging or diligence by the press (they have to live there, too) indicates to me that the suspect(s) are local.

This is what I am thinking also. In fact it is the only explanation that makes sense to me.

If this is true though, then what kind of a community is this?

Has this info. been confirmed? Is it rumor? I had not heard a definitive answer about the location of the family members. (at the time of the crime)

Hello Weleetka1,
P's old home place is on the west side, both of his parents are deceased and he lives there alone. His sister Carolyn B. built a home on the family acreage, but needless to say, she was forced to vacate and move. You can see she has a permanent restraining order against JP.
I'd guess his shack would be about 1/4 mile S...SW...of the Plackers.
Again, he has ...and still is the only suspect that jumped out at me.
Back in the early 80s he was institutionalized...(attempted suicide)..at Carl Alberts mental hospital in McAlaster...while there he met a young lady ..with issues of her own...the two married...unfortuately they had 2 little girls. His mother finally couldn't stand the abuse anylonger...she called DHS and the girls were taken..the mother attended classes the DHS offered...and the girls were placed back into the home.
Later...because of sexual abuse ... the two girls were taken...and this time adopted out.
Sometime in the early 90s...Pamela P choked to death in the wee morning hours...while eating a WEINER.!!
Jerry P. is wicked.

Would it be possible that Jerry P either had a mental breakdown from either mental illness or combined with drugs and murdered the girls having some flashback that they were his own 2 daughters?

Howdy MS. I wonder if JP is an undiagnosed schitzophrenic? I remember once in Ada we were having Fuzzheads B-day around Deer Creek. We had some "party goods" besides beer, more like the fungal type (possibly). One of our "friends, a male about 23, and a gun nut, dissappeared. He had had some of the party goods. As we're wondering where this person is at, a gunshot (rifle) went between our group. Then we heard him yell from the tree line some kinda odd request, and then if we didn't honor it, the next round would find one of us. We unassed the place! I called his friend Connie, and she told us he was actually a diagnosed schitzophrenic! Wow. He didn't bother to communicate that critical information to us.

He may have been found "not guilty" in court records if he was found not guilty by insanity then his records will be sealed, even if he did commit the crimes.

Would PP have got word if JP was around and then been on the road that day to try and reach the girls before JP was getting closer to the area?

Anyone who has been found "not guilty" by reason of insanity (mental disease or defect) will not have any records show up even though they committed the crime. They have "served time" in a mental institution. The public would have no access to records. I hope LE has checked this angle.
This whole crime, the overkill of the 2 girls seems irrational, it might not be a far leap that the murders were committed by a severely mentally ill person..

MeoW333, this is a very realistic posibility, imo. However, what are the chances of this guy having a Glock? I don't know the requirements of buying a gun, but if he had served time in an institution, could he get one registered in his name? Possibly, he got one 'unregistered'?? Perhaps the POI wasn't selling drugs from his truck, but rather selling arms?? Just random thoughts here??

Houndacres, when I went to OK a couple of months ago, I found myself always on edge knowing that everyone around me had a weapon. I'm from Canada and we have very strict laws prohibiting the use of firearms. I think with the laws there anyone could easily gain access to a weapon, whether or not they had served time in the looney bin.

Hi Lauren, I can relate to being surrounded by weapons! I live in a small, rural area where gun safes are a common piece of furniture! My ex even bought my 14 year old son a gun for Christmas . . but that's another thread in its own. . grrrrrr! I just didn't get the impression that this guy is someone who would be 'protected'. If was suggested earlier that people might not be talking because of fear, does this guy have the 'clout' (for lack of a better word) to keep people quiet?

I feel for you about the gun. I personally don't think a 14 year old should have access to a weapon.

I live very close the the American border and I know many Canada Border Services Agency officers. In order to be a customs officer now, you must take weapons training but even they cannot take the weapon home. It must be locked up after each shift. There are scanners and heat imaging equipment that scan each and every truck, car going through. No weapons allowed, period. I laugh when I think of my arrival at the Tulsa airport, the information desk people asked if I was in OK for the "gun show". LOL

I think this person should be looked at more carefully. What better alibi than you're crazy? Remember the guy who was arrested the week of the murders? He admitted he had a part in it and then it was quickly reported that he had psychiatric problems. It wasn't this guy was it??

Most likely the guns used to kill the girls were not registered or had the serial numbers scraped off.
Anyone with a serious mental health record cannot legally own a gun. Illegally they can if they find one.

I must post ..... Ahh Rural America.. In Fla where I was raised believe it or not I was target shooting with my dad at the age 12.. I learned on a 22 rifle..
I was raise to respect God & Guns literally..but seriously.. it is a responsiblity to own & use a gun.. a big one. That says it all as far as I am concerned, because with that child proof locks ect come into play... My situation was different than a kid growing up in the city so to speak.. we lived on the backwaters of the Withlacoochhee River.
There are six types of venomous Florida snakes: five are pit vipers, and the sixth, the Eastern coral snake, belongs to the cobra family.
There is only one North American poisonous water snake - the Cottonmouth Water Moccasin! this snake is a pit viper in the same general family as the Copperhead and the Rattler. ..........

and yes just a walk to the garbage or mail box you could and I have encountered several of these snakes.

So I am just saying in some areas guns are necessary...

While I have never attended a Gun Show, it is interesting to take note of the people who do go. They range from professionals to very scary and of all ages. Some people make it a "family event". The shows draw enormous crowds.

It isn't difficult for anyone to buy a Glock. Guns are pretty easy to come by on the black market and would not be registered...which is my guess about the guns used in this case. They are not going to be traced back to a specific owner unless the guns are found with a suspect, imo.

Hound, I said early on in this case that it could be a gun or drug runner situation. It would not be out of the realm of possibilities with the location between Dallas and Tulsa. People keep saying it is too remote for someone to find the location, but I disagree if they were dealing with someone who used to live nearby or otherwise knew the area.

SS I don't think you are very far off the mark .. and in reference to off thebeaten path... that is where that element of people like it the best.. perfect for a rolling Meth lab ect..

My son has a 410, 22, & 12 guage, which he uses for competition shoots at the hunt club. I don't have a problem with this type of activity, because I know at the club, safety is always first! When not in use, they are locked in the safe. However, my ex bought him a 9mm for Christmas. He's not even old enough to actually 'own' the gun yet. What 14 year old needs a 9mm? Then I'm the mean parent because I would not allow him to have it. . Oops, this isn't the rant thread!!
I do have a couple of thoughts here about the actual case. First, having raised two daughters, I think it's very normal that Skyla & Taylor would decide to take a walk, even though they knew her mom was on the way. (especially since Mom was on the way) It is also very normal to take a purse and carry 'girly' things. I don't think they would have gone for the walk had they been alone at the house. I have always wondered who was at the house when they left?
Maybe I'm really naieve (sp??), but I can't comprehend a common drug/arms dealer shooting two girls, during the day, in an open location just because they might have seen a transaction in progress. It's not like the girls were that big of a threat to them. I think the motive is more personal, but then I could just be naieve about criminals.

HA, I have to agree with you about it being drug dealers....unless it was a family member of Taylor's. I think if the drug dealers saw someone coming down the road, they would just get into their car and leave.
