CANTON, Ohio — According to court documents 3News obtained from a Stark County court official, a 13-year-old boy has been arrested and charged with planning a mass shooting at the Temple Israel synagogue in Canton.

Teens, and those younger, have 24/7 access to info, plus they hear others opinions all the time. They do not have the ability to process all of the conflicting into the way adults do. ( adults should have the ability, but some don’t. )

It should shock us to the core that a 13-year-old thinks he can access a weapon to conduct a mass shooting and that he thinks this would be something to do. Teens sometimes do "hate," and they aren't really taught how to properly deal with those feelings, IMO.

Was this teen going to be able to access a weapon if his plan hadn't been discovered?

imho a "shock sentence" of a weekend or so might have been a catalyst for change in that young boys home....

Community service, too.

Might consider completing a year in 4H Shooting Sports or the Daisy Air Rifle program. Those programs produce college scholarship athletes and Olympic medalists. Not threats to the community!
