Horrific to think what could have happened that both girls died around the same time (presumably); someone murdered not only one girl but both (my speculation).

  • #63
questions I look forward to answers on:

are the girls genetically linked/related?
what is the approximate time of death and are they around the same timeframe or different time periods?
Any missing children or families in the geographical area that might align with one or both bodies?
quoting myself as I didn't expect answers to be coming so soon. I will hazard a guess that both girls died and were disposed of around roughly the same time period. 28 is young be a parent of the victims. I wonder about what Aliyah's relationship to the girls. I feel like she was a caretaker, not sure if a parent given the approx. ages of the victims.

With how quickly this woman was taken into custody, LE seems to have a good handle on this case. I would be surprised if we don't have victim names by tomorrow.

I am already seeing rumors on social media that the girls are the daughters of Aliyah. Sleuthing her now to try to find something to substantiate that rumor.

I will alert this post in case it must be removed but I found this article form 2019 which seems to mention the accused woman and two young daughters.

Rainbow Connects extends University Hospitals’ commitment to meeting patient needs outside doctor’s office

If these are the victims pictured in this article their ages would have been 9/10 and 10/11

Also found this but not sure if this is a legit news org.

Those were the same names quoted last night in the group I mentioned. And the same names listed in the Rainbow article you posted, so I presume they are correct.

So a mother killed her two daughters and buried them in suitcases right across the street from her house? That's so sad and sick, poor girls...

  • #67
Wow! That was sure quick! I hope they got the guy!

Weird the someone would bury them so close to where they lived. 😱
My apologies to all the men out there as I assumed a man did this. My bad for assuming. :(

Police in Cleveland said they arrested a woman in connection with the case of two half-sisters found buried in suitcases.

Cleveland police have not released the name of the person, but records show 28-year-old Aliyah Henderson was booked into the Cuyahoga County Jail on Wednesday evening for murder and child endangering.

I am a man and was not offended. it was clear you were just guessing the offender was male, and statistics were strongly on your side. hell, it's technically still possible a man will turn out to be the murderer.

I can't help but wonder if the neighbor, whose dog found the bodies, knows the mother, or at least has seen her around. Ditto for the 2 girls. I wonder if we'll hear more from him?

ETA - Appears he lives a short 1/2 block away from her. His house is right across the street from the school driveway that LE taped off as per the bodycam video I posted below.

Bodycam video at the link of the 1st officer who made contact with the man who called in his find.

My notes (in my words, so not verbatim, except for those in italics) from the video:
  • He said he's been walking past "it" for about a week now when taking his dog for a walk.
  • The dog has stopped and sniffs it for about a week.
  • The day the 911 call was made was when he finally decided to see why the dog was always so interested in it.
  • [~6:00 in - It was hard to see but I saw wheels on it. (left side)]
  • LE collected "a lot more evidence" at the house the search warrant was for.
  • Suit case opened, chatter about "is that a head?". The officer said "I can't tell." then "The head is attached. It's just folded in a fetal position".

More notes from the video posted above:
  • Another child was found in the home with the "28 year old woman who was arrested". Police told 19 News that that child appeared to be healthy.
  • Unsure at this time to the relation of the 2 young girls to the woman and to the suitcases.

This is such a sad tragedy, this broke my heart when I first saw the articles. I wonder Is the woman arrested the bio/step Mom and if the woman arrested has mental issues? I also wonder how someone could have carried and buried two big suit cases without someone seeing something? With the autopsy already been done and no results being released to the public I was say it's being investigated as a homicide.

This is fine tlcya. Great digging on your part.
We are assuming these are her daughters right?
What in the name of all that is holy did this woman go from getting help (as the story tlcya posted) to killing these young girls? What happened? How did someone this sick get past everyone? By sick I am not using sickness/mental illness as an excuse. Not at all. Just saying there had to be warning signs. All along there must have been signs.

Simply drive down that long driveway in the darkness of night, park, and then wheel the suitcases to the spot. I'm guessing they both have wheels. I've only seen one of the suitcases and it has wheels. I posted pics and their source above. The 2nd suitcase hadn't been found at the time the bodycam video was made.

never ceases to amaze me how much variation there is in how quickly cases get solved. if this POI turns out to be the murderer, this one will have been solved in... what? 24 hours? meanwhile others go cold for decades.

edit: crazy how much of a difference it makes when something little changes. someone thinks to call in a tip they were on the fence about. perp thinks to wipe off the doorknob. someone misfiles evidence. perp's niece uploads her DNA to a genealogy website.

Well, burying them basically right outside her front door didn't help her get away with it. If she'd taken them some distance, there wouldn't have been a direct connection. She may as well have buried them in the backyard.

MOO

“I’ve been looking for my daughter for five years. I’ve been calling CPS, going to the courts, trying to get emergency custody, calling the police for welfare checks. But they denied all access,” Chatman alleged.

According to Chatman, the little girl’s mother had been avoiding him and moving around a lot. The last time he said he saw her was when he helped buy clothes for kindergarten.

Chatman told 19 News that he is now working with detectives to prove he was Mila’s father.

“I’m still in contact with the detectives. We’re doing the DNA samples. So I’ll get more details within the next couple of days.”

Chatman visited the site where his little girl’s body was found with 19 News.

I don't blame him one bit for the rage he's feeling right now. I'm furious on behalf of those little girls and everyone who loved them
