I saw comments before they were deleted also. Yes, it doesn't sound good but i hope those are just rumors.

That photo is kind of misleading. The tape is stretched across the street to block traffic, not just at the house.

I can see by my google map, that there is a house on that street, right near the cross street mentioned in the article, that HAS a pool on backyard. [emoji20]
And it's about 2 blocks west and a block north of where he was last seen.

It appears he traveled several blocks on his own. Amazing he was not seen by anyone along the way. How very sad.

If anyone is able to watch the local news now they should be having an update on his condition. I am from the area but currently not in the area so I can't watch.

SHENANGO VALLEY – A 2-year-old boy who was the subject of an intensive search by authorities and citizens in two states was found shortly after 8 p.m. Sunday at 675 Syme St., Masury, said Brookfield police Lt. Pete Gibb.

Sharon police Chief Gerald Smith said at about 9:15 p.m. the child had been taken to a hospital. He said he did not know the boy's condition.
The boys were reported missing at 4:41 p.m. from Lafayette Street in Sharon, according to Mercer County 911. Smith said the boys' parents reported them missing, but he did not know the circumstances of their disappearance.

The older boy was found at about 6:30 p.m. at Edmond and Jane streets in Masury, police said. Once that boy was found, police organized a grid search for his younger brother based on the location of the older boy, Smith said.

Here are all the locations mapped: https://www.google.com/maps/dir/Laf...a6b5e954fd250!2m2!1d-80.52002!2d41.226345!3e2

They really didn't travel too far :(

With all of the townships mentioned, it sounds like they traveled for miles, when in fact it was only about 2 blocks. They mention Sharon, Masury & Brookville! You would think they were in 3 different towns! I believe that is the house that was taped off in an earlier photo. The pool looks to be in a fenced yard also.

Sharon, Masury and Brookfield are a big jumble altogether basically. It happens a lot in that area. They're all pretty much mashed together. The Ohio PA line goes straight through there and it is called a different town on each side of the state line. Basically.

That said, there were many departments from surrounding towns present to aid in the search.

Thanks for the explanation. Where I live there are miles of farmland between towns so this helps me picture it a little better.

This poor family :(

Ugh. Heartbreaking.

Very sad the rumors were confirmed. Family members had updated their profile pictures on Facebook to reflect he had passed away, so it was coming... doesn't make it easier to read though. :(

Rest in peace, little Anakin. :rose:

from: http://www.wfmj.com/story/36332253/...r-dies-after-being-found-masury-swimming-pool

"Sharon police are at Gammon's home on Lafayette Avenue carrying out a search warrant.

There is not word yet if there will be anyone charged in the investigation, which is a joint effort by Sharon and Brookfield police departments."

from: http://wytv.com/2017/09/10/police-looking-for-missing-2-year-old-boy-in-masury/
"A coroner in Erie, Pa. is working to determine how the boy died. The Bureau of Criminal Investigation processed the scene where he was found.

Police in HAZMAT suits were at the boy’s home on Monday, but police aren’t releasing his family members’ names yet due to the pending investigation."

This is so sad and now an investigation of the family home.
