I'm confused about this house. It looks like what appears to be a two-family but I have not heard any mention of someone else living in the building. In some shots of the house there appear to be two front doors, side by side and I definitely saw a shot of two mailboxes attached to the wall- one over the other. Did he live in both homes? Was on vacant and that is where he stored the bodies?
The home has been in the family for a long time. It was originally owned by his grandfather. I think that he has been there by himself. The area is a very depressed part of town with a lot of abandoned homes and buildings. I think that they have mentioned that the house next door is empty too.
It does appear to be a two-family.
Yep, definately a typical Cleveland two-family home.
IIRC, there are three apartments in this home. AS lived on the 3rd floor, where the bodies were found. At least one of the victims that made it out of that house said she was taken to an apartment on the second floor that contained only a chair and a blanket. IIRC, both recent surviving victims were taken to the second floor first. The main floor, I believe was his step-mother's residence.
Finally i'm off today and i'm catching up. Yes I saw that on NG that I taped. OMG. These poor families. Didn't LE ever think gee we got all these females missing here, look at all these posters, something is not right???? What the heck...Just now on Fox a reporter just said theres so many abandon houses on this block, one house is right across the street. They (the reporters) want to go search it, because LE won't. WHAT??? I think we will find out he killed more then 10.
Sorry but can anyone tell me how the lady met this creep in September? Did she go there on her own? Or did he kidnap her?
I'm not sure but I believe that the woman that has come forward and talked on camera about her attack is the victim from Sept. She has stated that she was a neighbor of AS for around 2 years and would never have expected this. She said she escaped by talking him down and I believe she is also the one that was reported to have promised him $50 if he let her go. She said she knew him and knew his
girlfriend, which struck me because it was the first I had heard he had a girlfriend. I wonder where she is? Is she possibly the one from the Oct. 20 incident where both she and AS told FD, LE and hospital staff the same story of her keys falling off the balcony and her falling off trying to retrieve them? He rode with this woman to the hospital...
I do know that by all accounts I've heard from neighbors, LE and victims, he would lure women with offers of beer and drugs. I'm assuming he was able to convince at least a couple to come to him via his "dating" site. The women he would have met on there were there for the same thing, to "date", so I wouldn't be surprised if some of the victims aren't from the immediate area. I
hope there aren't anymore victims yet to be discovered, but I'm not counting on it. Just praying for it to be true.
Can anyone refresh my memory on when the father died and the step mother went into the nursing home?
Segerna (stepmom) was moved to a nursing home "around a year ago" according to neighbors. My guess is it was sometime during the summer of 2008 because Allen, AS older brother, said he saw her at a cookout in early summer 08 and never heard from her again after that, which is why he was concerned for her safety early on until he was finally able to locate her safe and in a nursing home as reported on 11/2. Thomas, AS father, passed away in 2003, before AS was released from prison. I have to say, I was surprised that Segerna was located safe. Elated, but surprised. I would still like to know for how long she was married to the elder Sowell? I'm curious if she was in AS' life from an early age.
Speaking of cookouts....I saw an interview with a neighbor saying that AS was a friendly guy that would hold neighborhood cookouts and just had one on his birthday (which is in August). I don't know about you and I don't mean to gross anyone out, but if I had attended one of those cookouts, I would seriously be wondering what I had really eaten. I hope he wouldn't do that, but as sick as this animal is, I wouldn't put it past him. Although, he did surprise me with the humanity he showed towards his stepmother by sparing her. I was wrong in thinking he wouldn't, so maybe I'm wrong in my cookout theory, as well. I sure hope so.
