Trying to find the latest news on this tragic case and having no luck. I live in the Akron area and would like to help her family. Does anyone know what the latest findings are on her case?

This is the most recent article I could find, from back in March 2017, and it's just a relaunch the news station was doing of different cases. Why is there silence? Isn't anyone looking for this girl?

From October 2016:
Police say missing Canton woman in danger.

She apparently got addicted to heroin after her father passed away. Arika went missing two weeks before she was due in court for a weapons charge.

"It was Feb. 4,” Renee Hall recalled. “The last time I saw Arika was on Smith Avenue (SW, off Tuscarawas Street W). She had come out to my car. I was taking her food and coffee. I wanted to stay in touch with her. I don’t know which house she was staying at.”

She believes her daughter had been assaulted while staying with a boyfriend, and then fled, leaving the next day in a car with another unidentified man. Police say Arika Hall was reportedly last seen Feb. 5

CANTON, Ohio — A Stark County family is fighting for answers and closure more than five years after their loved one vanished.

Arika Hall disappeared in February of 2016. She was 22-years-old at the time. Her relatives and police are convinced she was murdered, but her body has never been found.

Through an attorney, Hall's mother, Renee Adams, filed a petition in Stark County Probate Court to have her declared dead.

"It's not easy to grieve whenever we don't have that closure and I don't know if there really is closure," said her sister, Chloe Hall.

Another sister, Ashley Collins, said having Arika Hall declared dead would change the dynamic of the investigation.

"I think she was murdered," Collins said. "I think it's important for people to know that we do have enough evidence to go to court and declare her dead."

Canton Police Chief Jack Angelo said the case remains open and he also believes this is a homicide investigation.
