I am pleasantly surprised that there is somewhat of a resolution in this case, I did not think that we would ever have answers. I personally was on the fence as to whether this was foul play or not but it sounds like at a minimum they have charges of covering something up. Was it this case or am I thinking of another where they found an empty gravesite nearby?

Searchers had found what they believed was evidence of digging in the woods nearby but I don't think LE ever came out and said specifically that it was definitely a grave. However, we may soon find out.

I anticipate what information we’ll get from the presser!

Child endangerment is one thing, but obstruction of justice speaks volumes

Wow, I thought evidence seemed lacking in this case.
But it sounds like we're going to hear a sad shocking story...

I still wonder what caused Braylen's death. So sad, at least he will have some justice.

I predict that extensive interviewing combined with exhaustive forensics will have established actionable incogruencies. Good. I'm glad that there are people who care enough about this kind of thing to do the work that needs to be done.

Wasn't there supposed to be a presser this morning?

TOLEDO, Ohio —

Friday morning, the Toledo Police Department provided an update on the status of the Braylen Noble death investigation in light of a recent indictment against the 3-year-old's mother Dajnae Cox and grandmother Bobbie Johnson.

Lt. Dan Gerken, TPD's crimes against persons commander, responded to concerns about the speed of progress, saying the matter has been taken some time partly because the department had to submit certain evidence to external agencies, such as correspondence with the FBI to process Johnson's initial 911 call.

Snipped from the link
Braylen’s body was found in a pool at the family apartment complex after a days-long search in September of last year. The child was reported missing from his home by his grandmother. The pool where the boy was found had been searched five days earlier with no results.

An autopsy performed in the days following his death could not determine how the toddler had died, noting that there was no “anatomic or toxicologic cause of death” but adding that “submersion in water” was a contributing factor.—-

I wonder what evidence led to the charges ?

Met with the prosecutors office several times and they thoroughly reviewed our case. Had to wait for some results to come back, not everything is super fast.

Sounds to me like they sussed the story from very early on, but they've had to wait for the forensic evidence to come in to back up the charges

The press conference was a lot of nothing, IMO

Oh and rather than just playing the PC in the window above, open it in YouTube if you want to see the comments. Second from last comment is interesting
