I didn't know the grandmother was in the apartment when Braylen disappeared. According to the news video, Braylen was in his room, grandmother was in the living room, and mom was on the balcony. That's why mom thinks he went out the bedroom window - he would have had to pass grandmother to leave out of the door.

maybe he did fall.....small head injury disorientated him and off he went

just by luck that nobody saw him. kids this age are quick. I think if this happened then he would likely have crawled into a small space and has most likely deceased by now. can't see a happy ending now with the time which has passed

Me either, that changes things. IMO
It doesn’t change things for me having another person in the apartment doesn’t change anything the little one is still missing no one knows how or why.

It does make it seem even more impossible for a 3-year-old child to exit the apartment without two adults noticing anything, be it from the window or from the door.

From your link:

His mom told WTOL 11 Sunday night that Braylen last was seen in his bedroom. She was in the back balcony and his grandmother was in the living room.

There was a window open, so the assumption is he fell out the window because the screen was pushed in but his mom didn’t see actually fall.
...
Cox clarified she can't be sure that Braylen fell out of the window, but based on where Braylen and Braylen's grandmother were in the apartment at the time, and because she saw the window the screen was pushed out, she can't think of any other possibility.

She said there's no way Braylen could have snuck past both her and Braylen's grandmother, as both were in the apartment at the time.

If this story is true then the timeline possibly changes. The original story had her immediately running down and outside to get him after he fell. But if she's now unsure if he even went out the window then Braylen could have left the apartment at any time. IOW he could have been gone for quite a while before the mother noticed.

I have trouble with this version too. MOO.

Excuse my pickiness, but if he was born Nov 5 2016, he is just shy of FOUR years old, less than 8 weeks shy.
How does he weigh "30 lbs" ?!

Talk about weird... a little boy named Jeremiah was found wandering the streets last night in Toledo. He's about the same age as Braylen. LE is looking for his parents.

I don't understand? According to Baby Center (a site I frequent as the grandmother of a severely disabled infant), the average 4 year old boy weighs 35 pounds, 15 ounces. Braylen is a little small, I guess? My grandson will be 17 months old tomorrow and he doesn't even weigh 18 pounds yet.

I don't understand why the dogs didn't pick up a trail. They are normally quite good with a fresh scent, in this case an hour or two at most. If this child was moving on foot from a starting point beneath that window, it should have been easy for the dogs to follow. Strange.
Presuming any sent was fresh, or that any child ever went out the window. If her statement is not proven as fact, for example by security cameras, that's only a statement.
The screen is interesting, when Paula Sims claimed a home invader cut through screen with knife to unlock screen door...LE found it had been cut...from the inside. We have no details here.

Also, the apartment doors do not open to the outside. If Braylen did manage to sneak past grandmother and leave via the apartment door, he would have had to also open the door to the building, which looks really heavy. There is also apparently laundry rooms and storage in the basements.

How well was that building searched? Storage, laundry, attic, other apartments? What if the dogs didn't pick up his scent because he never left the building? jmo

Braylen could be small, the guidelines go up to 44 for his age but if he's special needs there may be challenges with eating. We see more his age around 35to38. Doesn't sound like a lot of difference but at that age I'm always concerned. Thanks for your response, it may be normal for him.

Pic of window/screen from post #25. To me, the screen definitely is bent inwards, as if it was pulled in from the inside. It's been a while since my child was that age, but is a 3/4 year old strong enough to do this:

ETA: Even if the child did do this, why did the mother/grandmother not hear it? That kind of damage would surely have made quite a bit of noise and those apartments are tiny.

Where is the "back balcony" that the mom claims she was to have not noticed that Braylen "fell out of the bedroom window? Am I missing something?
I didn't understand the "back balcony" statement either. It looks like the balconies are all right off the living room.

There's no other possibility except the window, yet no way he could have done it without her or grandma noticing. Only one of these can be true.
