Discussion of decomposition in water. Warning: GRAPHIC PHOTOS AT LINK.

Decomposition Changes in Bodies Recovered from Water

Recovering bodies from water is a common task for any medical examiner or coroner office. Unfortunately, there will be a significant postmortem interval before many of these remains are found. A thorough scene investigation must be undertaken to determine if the location of the death and that of the body recovery are the same. Decomposition in a wet environment differs from that in other settings, both in the changes that occur and the rate at which they occur. It is essential that the forensic pathologist or medicolegal death investigator recognize and appreciate the uniqueness of immersed and submerged remains

any news on mum?

This is a horrible question, but here goes anyway.

Is it possible to tell if a body has decomposed while submerged in water as opposed to in air? Can they tell if he's been decomposing in water the entire 6 days? Or decomposing in air for 5/6 days and THEN placed in water?

I have no idea.
Definitely not an expert for this question but I've been a crime addict for five decades and IMO, it very easy to determine if a body has been in the water decaying instead of in the air, or buried in the ground.

P
LE has recently sent searchers to other areas, and also told searchers to stay out of certain areas.
I wonder if they placed cameras to see if there was any activity at night.

Excellent point. With those tactical info releases by TPD, it would make sense they would then have surveillance set up, to meet standards of evidence they could use at trial. Maybe.

OK, I'll be the Captain Obvious on this one. I know that a freshly dug area was found in the wooded area with a 2x4 board nearby. According to LE, this area was not there during previous searches. Nowhere have I seen that investigators dug up the area to see what was buried there or used cadaver dogs to scent the hole to see if a body had been buried there and maybe moved.
Any information is greatly appreciated.

Where did Braylen's brother live? I'm still very curious about the 911 call comment that there was only one bed in the apartment. This comment was made when Bobbi was asked if they had checked under the beds for Braylen.
Lived at hunters ridge but no idea what apt number.
Mom lived with Braylen, he either slept with her, or maybe on mattress if he wasn't safe in a bed (falling).

Didn't grandma live there as well? I was under the impression, she did.

There's a lot of stuff LE does without telling the press/media.

In the 911 call grandmother can be heard asking R*** what Braylen was wearing. Is that the brother?

No, that was what they said first...then it came out that grandma lives in a first floor apt.

My mistake! It's her cousin TM?
Who is R***?

Who is R***?

R*** is who grandma asked on the 911 call about what Braylen was wearing.

I've been wondering who this R**** is that grandma asked that question to. From the call, it sounds like several people were present.
