Wow. Just wow. When I think I may have heard and seen it all. I really haven’t. Poor baby. I wish you had the love you deserved RIP

I doubt he was in the pool the entire time, I would think the condition of his body will tell the real story. I am wondering if he's been kept somewhere alive, was being abused and killed recently then put in the pool last night.

Let’s sincerely hope NOT

Dear Braylen--
You were a special child on earth and now you are one of God's special angels.
Fly high little guy !!!!

Apologies if this has already been noted - I just got home and am speed reading trying to catch up:
Why did police search Hunters Ridge's swimming pool for Braylen? | wtol.com
The swimming pool has a fence and the gate is locked. The apartment's maintenance supervisor told WTOL 11 the pool was open for the season but had to be closed three months ago because of pump issues. He said the pool had been closed this entire time.

This whole thing makes even less sense than it did when I woke up this morning. How filthy does a pool have to be not to be able to see a body in it???
I know this post was earlier, but I'm just catching up with the sad news. I'm curious if anyone knows if there was a fence and gate around the pool?

Friday pool search
Appears fenced here. How did he get in?
ETA: I'm answering my own question. Gate was locked, he's to little IMO to climb the fence so it seems he was placed there. I'm so sorry little one.

I totally agree. First time I’ve ever heard a child went missing from a fall out of a 3rd story window, only to end up in a gated pool that had been searched multiple times o_O

I’m trying to keep an open mind, but it is difficult. I imagine the autopsy will have a story to tell.

RIP little dude. This is so tragic, regardless of how or who, I hope justice is served.

The pool was fenced and locked. Maintenance workers had a key, which may be an interesting rabbit trail to follow.

Brutal. Where has he been since Friday then? I’m struggling to understand this whole scenario from start to finish!

<modsnip>

Part of me thinks did by a marginal very unlikely error police missed him in this pool from the beginning

Part of me thinks was he roaming about so close and he’s just only recently fell in without anyone noticing. (This scenario gives me chills)

WTH

I feel duped and I’m over 3000 miles away from this location. Every missing child who turns out murdered makes me so angry!

But in so many cases, more than not, it’s someone close to them through either negligence or down right evilness!

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

I like this train of thought. And this: the fence is really close to the pool as well as in a tree line that provides cover. Many could throw 30-40 pounds over it

Is it typical for LE to release a scene (pool) so quickly? What if there is evidence at the bottom of it? What if water samples are needed to compare to what may be in his lungs or clues as to where he’s been for 6 days? It seems risky to have it now open to the public who are placing things along the fence. Anybody could toss anything in the water and then it’s tainted.

I was thinking about that too along with the fact they are having a public gathering in basically what could be a crime scene.

I try to remember a photo is less than one second in time. If it were a video I’d give it more weight. Moo

I had the same thought when I saw the makeshift memorial and the plastic sheeting gone, that they'd used earlier on the fence.
I can only imagine though, they did collect everything they needed, before releasing the scene.
Sure changes the atmosphere of those apartments & that pool forever though. :(

I like her maintenance with key trail thought....
I suspect all residents have a key too. Usually when you sign a lease you get door keys and any other property keys (pool, laundry room, mail room, clubhouse, etc). Even though the pool has been closed for repairs, I doubt they went around and collected everyone’s pool key from people who lived there before the pool broke.

There could have been an additional security lock placed by maintenance to keep it secure while being repaired.

Just another thing to consider.
