Brian Rini

“A representative from Parkview Homes, who owns the residence, reported June 17 she had shown a house to a man, later identified as Brian Rini, 22, of Massillon, on Stag Ticket Lane June 15 and was interested in putting in an offer, according to Brunswick Hills Police. The man and some friends reportedly showed up to the home the evening of June 16 and left the next morning; the representative thought Rini may have entered the home by looking over her shoulder when she punched in the security code.”

What I've been saying all along is, the police need to disclose the mileage that was gathered on the Odometer when Amy brought the car to the mechanic and check it against what was on the Odometer when she was discovered. Now clock the route she took and determine if/what was the excess mileage between the resort and her place of death. That's the window of where Timmothy will be.

They have a general area of where the actual disappearance occurred based on soil testing on the tires of the SUV.

IMO, it would've been a better idea to not publicize the possible identity of the boy until the DNA results were back. It would have been newsworthy enough that an injured boy was found and he described the men who he said held him captive, because finding them was the focus. I just feel really bad for Timmothy's family right now. The DNA only took about the 24 hours predicted, and had LE held off on releasing the possible ID, the Pitzens could have been told after the fact that a young man had claimed to be Timmothy but DNA was not a match.

This story has been on my mind, and if the young man was escaping from an abusive situation, he might have feared LE wouldn't take his claims seriously and would return him to his abusers, so he claimed to be a missing child. Again, I feel terrible for Timmothy's family but there is a chance this unidentified young man was doing what he felt he had to in order to save his life. This is all purely speculation, but he might have sought help before and wasn't believed.

ETA: We were all posting at once, and it looks like this wasn't an abusive situation at all, so disregard the last paragraph of speculation. What an utterly crummy thing to do.
