Damnit. Awful news. I worked as a lifeguard and surf lifeguard for years and the wee ones could be very tricky. Sometimes no danger signs, and they can sink or be pulled down in seconds without alerting or being noticed by parents or carers. So so sorry for this little guy and his family.

I'll be honest..... I welled up with tears, and they fell. I spent all weekend with my boys at the lake fishing, and I thought of this sweet baby many times today. My youngest is not much older than him. I am so incredibly heart broken for his family. Just so sad......

I felt physically ill when I saw the quote that he'd been seen "swimming around the boat dock" though his family said that he couldn't swim. Poor poor little fellow. Poor poor family.
