According to newspaper articles Gordon Lambert has 2 tattoos on his right forearm. There is no mention of tattoos on the John Doe, but everything else lines up well.

Interesting that no law enforcement agency or NAMUS notes to indicate that Lambert had tattoos! Do you mind sharing the article(s)?

I thought that was strange also, but sometimes they put the bare minimum in NAMUS, which can be frustrating. Screenshot of a newspaper article attached.

I know next to nothing about tattoo removal, but could Lambert have gotten his tattoos removed after escaping from prison, but before ending up as this UID? It would make sense he might have changed his appearance, being on the run from authorities. I would think there'd have been some marks on his right forearm left from tattoo removal if Lambert was this Doe, but again I know very little about tattoos and tattoo removal.

The tattoos were mentioned in several articles, the most recent one being in 2005 where it actually mentions additional tattoos on his chest? It's very odd to not mention that on anything current.
