Well, I've eventually made time to listen to the "link" I posted the other day. As I've said I'm not local nor do I live in US so places and people mentioned I've never heard of.

Anyway, whilst listening to an Aunt of Curtis she mentioned Rob Junk, De Wine and Charlie Reader. My ears pricked up, of course I knew Charlie only became Sheriff a short time before a big murder case happened in 2016. My surprise was that those 3 were around then and investigating in this case.

It's a good read, and great to listen to but I'm at a loss how to proceed in finding out who dun it. I'll tag along with you all though as I'd love to see Justice for these families.

So there were witness statements taken but LE failed to act on them, is this correct? Also alleged corruption in Pike County at the time.

I'm still struggling to understand why nothing was done years ago when LE had all the information. Letters, statements, what went wrong that caused LE to drop the case.

So starting over at the beginning again I'm still saying evidence was gathered in the form of statements.

listening to Ep 130 Hopper Road Murders it states resources from LE stepped in twice.
Mike De Wine said that State investigators were helping the case. De Wine suspected gun man had shot one other person.
In February 2006 Paul Shope was killed by shooting. Eric Horn was charged and serving time for this. Case closed.
Amongst all the paper work 3 hand written statements were found in relation to the shooting of Curt and Jenny.

Still nothing came out of this. I have a question to ask and I may get slated for it. First I want to say that there are 3 names mentioned in the investigation. I know of these people from another case.
Mike De Wine. Rob Junk. Charlie Reader.

Are folk afraid to come forward to discuss this case and why it got lost, left in the dark when evidence is there.

So, are folk afraid to step in and discuss the involvement of the 3 investigators that I've mentioned?

It only pushed the evidence farther down. Apparently, it was going to take a lot of money to completely excavate the area and even then there was no guarantee of retrieving the evidence.

Yes that's what I heard on one of the links. But then there's the hand written statements that were found amongst papers from another case. Rob Junk told one of the relatives he would get things sorted or words to that effect. When she tried to make further contact, she says that Junk ignored her calls. Just makes me wonder why?

Cold Case Files ( a show on A&E) offered to come to Pike County and foot the bill to receive the guns out of the ground. No cost to the county at all. They were wanting to document the excavation and run it on one of their show episodes. Our family was very disappointed to find out Sheriff Reader refused to speak with producers. Why wouldn’t you accept FREE HELP? It baffles our minds

See this is what I don't understand. I have read several reports on this tragic senseless crime and have seen mention of not much investigation carried out.
I understand that there is going to be, or was going to be a new team to look into the case recently. Further back a few posts.
