Here is a nice in a nutshell view of IUGR: (I notice they are using the "restriction" instead of "retardation". I would think the new terminology came about so as not to confuse the problem with mental developmental issues.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMH0002469/

Note in the listing of causes, it is specifically stated that a small baby born to a mother who is small is not IUGR. Thanks

showing more clips, this time Terry Jr, now some audio of RS, showing pics of Elaina.

Stunning developments in the search for baby Elaina, seen here captured on surveillance video.

New info tonight, that this mother is telling people that she didn't tell people that her child was injured because she was threatened she would be next if she did.

Going out to Angi Gonzalez, WNWO, what did Frank tell you, who supplied you with this surveillance video? He said he didn't know either of them to hit the children, now you know this is sort of 'he said, she said' thing and last night TJ said she was rough with the children, now Frank told us that wasn't his experience

Angie let me jump in what did he say abotu the injuries to the child?

He says Angela told him that the morning she would go missing, the baby woke up with a black eye, bump on the head, and a little bit of blood around the nostril. She told him she had Steven King look over the baby and the BF said the baby is gonna be fine.

Let me jump in, now Steven King is not a suspect, but he is also Not a doctor, and when your baby is injured you take it to. the. doctor.

Now asking Dr Judy Ho, black eye, bump on the head, what does this mean..

well if your child... you take it to the doctor.. due diligence.. now there may have been threats but .. protect this child first and foremost (she talked too fast for me)

TJ told NG last night about a fight that he had with Angela when he came up to pick Elaina up, listen to this (playing part of NG interview about SK ripping his shirt off and wanting to fight when TJ asked again to go get Elaina)

Asking guest, why do you think he wanted to fight so hard against TJ coming to get his daughter,

I would immediately suspect the family and the BF who was there at the time but I'd look even harder at the family.

I just had Sgt. Joe and when Mary, Angela's half sister said Angela was pointing hte finger essentially at the BF, they said it was a red herring, so what does that tell you?

My self as a private detective I have a bit more freedom to look at issues in ad ifferent way and to investigate in a different way, myself I'd have looked at the father of Steven King, his father has a history of working with a company that has greenhouses on a ten acre property, history of working with HVAC, these are places where they should look where somebody may have disposed of a body if this child is dead (paraphrasing).

Joe Schmidt, last night on NG Richard Schiewe her step father says he went searching with Angela, a fisherman reportedly caught a duffle bag in the river sixty miles from their home so they went there, listen to this (playing clip).

Darn you, no teasing! I'm worse than a toddler when it comes to being patient.

Yes, I know. IUGR was something that was thrown around by posters as speculation for what Angela meant before FM & CC came and clarified. IUGR was not the issue.

This baby may have had a problem known as "failure to thrive" and that would have a lot to do with how she was cared for, though it can spontaneously happen.

BTW did you guys know that the new trend is to tightly swaddle babies as old as 9 months? Unbelievable the lengths people will to to so they don't have to care for their children. And, children are dying because of this, parents are getting away with it, because it is seen as ignorance! Thanks

ok now there was a diaper found, FBI divers searched the river yesterday and they had been there before and the fact that Angela had searched that area with her stepfather and now theyr'e back searchign there again it makes me wonder if there's something they're not telling us, something we don't know, and it breaks my heart.

It's been reported that this child had a black eye, bump on the head, and bloody nose and nobody took her to the doctor, I'm sure you share my outrage Ginger (Elaina's cousin Ginger Smith is on the phone) She says she woke up and had these injuries, I don't know, it doesn't pass the smell test to me.

Yeah, I mean I don't know, and the surveillance thing we can't see anything in that, I think she was overly loving, overly loving in that surveillance video, was she hurt then? I don't know

You make a good point I'm looking at it again and it's almost theatrical, and I don't want to convict her but Joe Lieberman, now that she's pointing it out its' a little bit over the top, the cradling and all that.

It is, Jane and the reality is police are having to waste time sorting out fact from fiction because they don't know what they can believe about this mother, and we also know CPS has been out to that mother's previous residence, police know more than what they were saying..

more with Ginger, and we're taking your calls on the other side.

IUGR has nothing to do with this case and the constant references to it is only serving to confuse the situation.

I'm trying to put together the cast of characters by initials since I just jumped on this today.

Who is RS?

  • #329
RS is Richard Schiewe, Angela's stepdad who has raised her from birth. Her relationship with him is her closest parental relationship as I understand it.

FM,
JMO, but RS hasn't spoken much truth.
He needs to be honest and tell the police everything that he knows.
Elaina belongs at home with you and your family.

LE officer on the show said that the whole thing of being threatened he thinks is a red herring.

I'm with him. I just haven't been able to buy the being threatened thing, because it just doesn't make any sense, no matter how you look at it.

Agreed.

Sure are a lot of low slung ears in this case.

Darn you, no teasing! I'm worse than a toddler when it comes to being patient.

And I remember someone asking if Elaina was early. No, as a matter of fact, she was like a week past the due date, and if I remember correctly, I think AS had to be induced, but not positive. My memory is not real good these days.

These women really baffle me. what on earth prevents them from telling the truth to begin with? When there is more chance of -when possible- finding a missing child instead of waiting until the police pries it out of your lying mouth? This is your child, girlfriend --- get it together.

Forgive me, I'm far behind. Society holds women to a much higher standard than these "women". Rightly so,.. I can't call these liars my peers.

Jake Schmidt, PI - talking about statistics of missing kids, we have no good tools / special circumstances for LE like quick access to cell phone records, etc.

JVM - agree.

Ginger Smith, adult cousin of Elaina, what do you think happened?

I don't wnat to point fingers. I know somebody in that house has to know what happened to that baby.

JVM - Angela SAYS she knows so why doesn't she tell it?

That's what we're wondering. We could've helped you if you had told us a long time ago When you came out on that front porch you could've told us you were threatened right then, you had people all around you, but she waited eleven days? It don't sound right, and when she told us that TJ and Terry Sr. seen Angela, Steven, and Steven's mother, they all went back into that house except TJ and Terry Sr, and nobody never come back out with the baby, they're waiting out there by themselves, I don't know, 45 minutes and then they come out and say somebody took the baby?

Why is everyone on TV acting as though this whole "I didn't get help for my baby because I was threatened" stuff has any merit? It's all very Zanny the Ninja to me and I hope nobody here believes it either.

Thanks for asking I just caught the case yesterday myself

HOLD ON!
Who was the last person to see Elaina?
Did MS see her on Saturday?
If AS texted RS that, paraphrasing, 'only SK could help her with this', does 'this' mean that AS did something to Elaina?

Where are SK and his parents? and the other adults in SK's home?
What are their statements?

clips - just want her home in one piece

Former prosecutor, missed her name - what do you make of it?
well there have been so many secrets during the show, it makes me suspect drugs or child 🤬🤬🤬🤬, sometimes if you owe a lot of money they take children for these things and it just breaks my heart.

Dr. Judy Ho - hidden epidemic, child abuse, we lose 5 children every single day to abuse related deaths, she might've been afraid she'd be arrested if she got help but this is a problem we have across the whole country. (paraphrasing badly, that lady keeps talking too fast)

Joe Lieberman - take everything she (Angela) says with a grain of salt don't believe anything she says until it's corroborated.
