GUILTY OH - Elaina Steinfurth, 17 months, Toledo, 2 Jun 2013 - #3

One thing that caught my attention. JK and SK as well as TS have all said how rough AS was with the girls. However, AS is saying that SK was rough with her girls. How can you be so rough with an 18 mth old. What did this poor little girl do to anyone that would make them so mad to hurt her.

I now that if someone whether it was hubby, bf or stranger did anything to either of my girls. Well lets just say I would be in jail for killing the person.

Please let today be the day that Baby Elaina is found and please let her be okay.

JMO here but I have a hard time thinking that Frank knew of the babies injuries and never did anything. I think he went over there when TJ left to get his father or sometime that day. When he heard the baby was missing he did call the police and told them what he knew and maybe thats when he looked at his surveillance video. IDK but that is what I'm hoping anyway. JMO.

Just noting quickly that I had to reboot my computer in the middle of completing the timeline and now I have to tend to some things here but I'll get back to it in a bit.

We have a had a few hair raising days at my home. Not to get too personal but there has been a threat to my family and my kids are teens and inside the home and in my own yard I went up against an absolute demon, physically and I didn't even think about it.... My own safety was in GRAVE danger and it didn't cross my mind until after the fact. My children were never directly in harm's way, but the threat still existed and was implied and if they'd come outside they definitely would have been. Rolls eyes at drama. I hate it but sometimes it happens even with the best intentions. Point is to miss Angela..... every cuss word times ten in your eye lady ! Protecting our children is not a choice. It's instinct and if you don't have it , then something is wrong with you ! PERIOD !

It is entirely possible that this 'lil one was injured (or worse) in the middle of the night. She was probably cranky because of the thrush. She probably cries during the night. I wouldn't be surprised if the "adults" were partying (and/or drugging) and they didn't like the interruption of a baby during their "fun". Now, where did SK take her? And, was she still alive or already gone?

It is so difficult when the main people involved in a story clam up and refuse to talk. I think it is highly likely that "mom" doesn't know where SK took little Elaina. I am on the fence as to weather SK harmed her or Angela - but it may be likely that both did.

OMG. So much wrong here. So much to say.
I have followed this case closely and posted occasionally.

First FerretMom: I pray for Elaina and all who love her. I pray you have answers VERY SOON!

So this is what we have...
A young married couple with two children.
A Dad who talks repeatedly with his wife about being "rough" with the girls.
Nothing changes so he leaves her.
It sounds as if he had the girls most of the time (thankfully) and she only had them overnight because he and his gf had to work the night shift.
Angela is bouncing from house to house with the kids.
She exposes them to a bf with a drug past and goes to an absolutely filthy and unfit home to stay with them.
She gets kicked out and bouncing begins again.
She begs a place to stay Sat night and goes back to the filthy house.
(I know that may seem minor to some, but those kids being in that feces filled home without a proper bathroom just DISGUSTS me!)
She and the girls spend Sat night.
Sometime Sunday she supposedly wakes up and finds Elaina injured.
She has her bf (who IMO probably did it) check her and he, with all his medical training *sarcasm*, says she will be fine.
She contacts Frank somehow and tells him Elaina is injured.
Then Dad shows up for girls.
She gives him 4 yr old.
Refuses to give him Elaina - she is sleeping... oh, no she is missing.
Her bf tries to fight with TS jr and sr.
Bf mom is there the whole time.
Police are called and search begins.

SO MUCH WRONG HERE!
SO MANY FAILED THIS BABY GIRL!

Just in what we know so far, we know that in most likelihood EVERY adult in the home knew Elaina was seriously injured!
Frank knew she was injured!
We are talking appx SIX adults (SK, JK, AS, Frank, Mike and whatever other adults were at Federal home) who KNEW she was seriously injured (or worse) and decided to cover their own behinds rather than help this poor baby girl!
I am just SICK about this situation!
How can they let a little girl suffer because of their ignorance and actions!

I am glad Dad is keeping the 4 yr old away from her mom. I wouldn't let any of them be NEAR her until this is settled and probably not even then.
I am sure more arrests are coming.
I believe AS is singing like a caged canary and the LE are letting the others stay loose for now so they can "hang themselves".
I believe ALL the adults in Federal home know EXACTLY what happened!
I am SO SICK of all these baby "missing" cases when at least one of them knows EXACTLY where that baby is!
I really felt bad for the AS step dad in the first interview after court but after hearing what he said last night (haven't watched it yet) I am angry.
I know he is hurting. I know he wants to protect his daughter. In the first interview he said she has to take responsibility for her choices (YES!) then on NG he tries to turn it all onto Dad??? He wasn't even THERE!
FOCUS ON THE A$$ holes who were there and are covering their behinds!
UGH! PULLING OUT MY HAIR OVER THIS BABY!

Also, Angela is not 15 or 16 yrs old. She is in her mid-twenties! I had children at that age and certainly knew to seek help when they were injured or ill! She was more worried about protecting herself and others from legal help than getting her own daughter medical care!
Age is not an excuse in this case! She is CERTAINLY old enough to know better!

I think she did it to "appear normal" when all it did was show her callousness toward Elaina's disappearance!

Can you guys help me? About 5 minutes ago, I just read somewhere, that Angela was taken from a single private cell, to general pop, and then not long after, they took 3 inmates out, to question them.

Is she talking to inmates about what happened?

I think the mother didn't seek help because it was probably obvious the child wasn't 'dropped' or fell. She was likely abused badly. I still have this lingering feeling that the child was given something for her 'pain' and the child died from it. Then the finger pointing.

The police are not going to arrest the boyfriend, if he is guilty, until they have an airtight case. And the mother could very well be talking to the fbi but is she telling the truth is the bigger question.

Wasn't Casey Anthony also arrested on endangerment charges initially?

I hear you - if you dropped your child accidentally - take him/her to the hospital! If mom/dad/bf/whatever has consequences or questioning SO BE IT! At least your child would receive medical treatment! No money you say - let me tell you there is not a hospital in this country that would refuse treatment to an 18 month old with head trauma - NOT ONE!

Why would you NOT seek treatment for your injured child?

1. YOU did it intentionally
2. It wasn't YOU who did it intentionally, but someone close to you whom you are trying to protect

Bear with me.

I believe her. What if she is telling the truth, leaving out one "minor" detail- how Elaina got her injuries.

What if she was stressed that night about having to go to SK's house, because begging JK to come stay with her doesn't sound easy. What if "someone", I'm guessing SK, "dropped" Elaina HARD in their frustration- causing the head trauma that would show up as a bloody nose and black eye?

What if little Elaina died in her sleep?

I'd like to know what Angela's demeanor was that morning. Was she agitated from the get-go? Was she hysterical? Or was she in shock and appeared very calm?

If Elaina died in that home EVERYONE is going to cover for each other.

OT my 3 youngest adopted were NEVER taken to the doctor by their mother, their grandmother would see them ill and take them. Each child was seen no less than 12 times per year.

When I got custody of the children, they were all very, very sick. I won't go into all of them- but the 2 year old had a staph infection that covered her body from shoulders to knees from an untreated vaginal yeast infection!!! Took 6 months of specialists to get her completely healthy again. Mom was treating her yeast and staph with Vaseline. Yep, some moms are that incapable.

Thank you for posting this for Miss Diana, I also had managed to skim this story and miss this bit of info, so am copying the pertinent part from the link above :

"Mrs. Steinfurth was being held in a single-person cell at the jail, but over the weekend was moved into the general population.

One source said after the mother’s move that at least three inmates were taken to the downtown Safety Building to be interviewed about the case by detectives."
