Let's assume Ang is telling the truth ( just for argument's sake, trust me ) . How does a baby become that injured overnight without making a SOUND that would wake another adult? Sorry it's a lie.

ETA It's a lie UNLESS my previous pondering on whether or not Ang also has an ' alleged' former (eyeroll) drug problem. The drug mentioned previous, * speculative* is the only thing I can think of that would make someone sleep through a screaming injured baby.

FM, how sound of a sleeper is K? If Elaina was up wandering around in the middle night and fell and injured herself would K sleep through it?

  • #403
Reportedly (not sure how much is actually true since it is coming from Angela and the other adults in the house)

Yes. AS says she woke up and the baby was injured.
Yes, upon waking Sunday, the same day Elaina "went missing".
No, it is reported (by the 4 yr old sister) that Elaina was on the floor sleeping with her 4 yr old sister.

BBM. i spent a week in a Children's Hospital with a friend whose 9 month old daughter was on life support due to being shaken by the mom's boyfriend. The area around her eyes were bruised and black. When she was found after she was shaken, there was blood around the nostril. There was a bump on her head where the mom's boyfriend had knocked her against the bathtub.

This frightens me because Elaina's sister said she slept next to her that night.

Was Elaina talking to her sister that night?

i'm sorry i'm speculating. just want Elaina to be safe and come home.

Depending how close she was to Elaina, possibly. That's assuming Elaina would cry, and I'm sure she would if she was injured as badly as she was. If they were both in the same room, as we've been told, I think she would be awakened by her crying.

There's no way that the eleven people in the house that night and any/all dogs inside all slept through the child giving herself a fatal injury. IMO.

Nor did everyone sleep through her crying after someone else gave her a fatal injury.

Either someone heard something, or this happened outside the home and she was brought inside the home already having gone to sleep/gone unconscious/who knows what, possibly still in her baby carrier/car seat with a blanket draped over her "because she's sleeping" (to hide the injury).

JMO, just don't buy it. Ever try sleeping through the sound of a crying baby. Not so easy.

I drove by the house(s) today and was struck by how close and tightly packed they are to each other.

If you watch the video, Elaina has Angela's cell phone- looks like she drops it and Angela is picking up the pieces. There is also another person on that porch. I wonder if we are seeing the entire video....( see quote below from tonya ) There is a reason she "all of a sudden" needed to not sleep at RS's home...

Right? This girl is hanging herself, just heard on JVM that she texted her stepdad that she wasn't going to stay with him Saturday night because "SK is the only one who can help me with this"

Don't know what "this' is

ETA: Notice- she was right by RS's home. She texted him- she did not go over and tell him.... I would say the injuries are from Mom....there is a lot of concrete around.

Also- looks like Elaina may have soiled her diaper before she dropped the phone. We only see her bringing Elaina inside- while talking to the woman who remained outside. Something could have transpired inside also.

I've thought about shaken baby syndrome also (was reading about it over the weekend, so it was fresh in my mind)
ALL of those injuries could be signs of shaken baby

OT I'm so sorry to hear about your friends daughter. I pray she recovered

This video shows Elaina being hit by a newspaper from her mother!!!

Here is the video from the porch shown tonight on NG.
It shows more than the video from last night.
It has parts from already seen video interspersed with new.
New angles on old video in some parts.
Points of interest...
20 seconds in they come out and Elaina is walking.
30 sec. Angela is sitting on a bench and can't be bothered to keep Elaina from the edge, leans over and swats her an the bottom with a magazine instead.
Someone else is then shown on the porch too.
1:17 you can see Elaina run :)
then it repeats parts over and shows older video with some new angles.
2:58 it seems she yells at the baby (or the other person on the porch) and picks Elaina up and goes in the house.

I also observed the swat at Elaina as she ran forward toward the front step of the porch. It looked like Elaina had Angela's phone in her hand.

The other part I found interesting (and I'm going to try and explain it the best I can where it concerns the position of Angela and Elaina in relation to the camera), was when Elaina is nearly off camera but not quite, in the bottom portion of the screen (closest to the viewer).

Angela crouches down suddently and reaches out to Elaina. In response, Elaina leans back out of camera range. It is difficult at this point to see what transpires because Elaina is nearly off camera, but Angela gets up abruptly and goes back to sit on the bench. Elaina comes back in frame and either smacks at herself with both hands or makes a dusting off motion. What it actually made me think of was the "baby sign" for all done.

That is the lie he was caught in that FM was referring to earlier.
I have lost all respect for RS.
I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt (it's his daughter, granddaughter missing....)
but to LIE when a child is missing!
No matter how big or small it is, to LIE when a child is missing is UNEXCUSABLE!

Same here, MidwestMama, I was giving RS the benifit of the doubt. Him lying is inexcusable.

I don't believe RS anymore either! I wish I can take this baby home and make her feel loved! How dare anyone hurt this baby! Elaina was a precious baby! This sounds like Casey Anthony! Anyone notice how red Frank's eyes were tonight I wonder if its from crying or being tired. I feel so bad for the father!
I think the mom hurt the child bad and disposed of Elaina and I pray and hope I'm wrong!! My heart is so heavy, cried tonight watching JVM & NG. My heart goes out to you ferretmommy!!! I pray they find Elaina tomorrow!!!!

BUSTED!!! He was caught in a lie about AS not going in to work! Take THAT, RS! :jail:

A "Thanks" just wasn't enough on this one! I had to rewind and watch that more than once while screaming at the TV "THAT'S NOT WHAT YOU SAID LAST NIGHT!!! LAST NIGHT YOU SAID SHE WAS SUPPOSE TO GO AND DIDN'T!!!!" :stormingmad:

I am so, so, so glad that caller called in with that statement. I know it was posted on here; but, I loved RS being confronted with that lie on TV for the entire world to see. I only wish Nancy would have said "Whoa, wait a minute, last night you told me she didn't go!" Why did Nancy just let that slip???? :stormingmad:

At first I thought RS seemed like a good guy. I have totally lost that opinion the more I have seen of him. First he said SK dropped the baby then tried to back pedal. Then he said AS didn't go to work when she did then admitted HE TOOK HER as if it were no big deal!! That's just to name a couple of issues I've seen. I don't believe a word that man says. He's obviously partaken in way too much of the AS/King Family CYA Kool-Aid!!!

Does anyone in that camp give a rat's behind about Elaina??? :banghead:

Ferret God bless you and your family. I'm so so sorry you have to go through this.

I've been wondering that too. In one of the articles, I think a local reporters peice on what kind of person AS was/is, the sister MS, said their mom wasn't in their life much. ( going by memory correct if wrong). Also that she has a heart condition I think? I've never seen any statement by her.

Thank you. Unfortunately, she did not.
My friend has never been the same. It is heartbreaking.

Watching AS swat at baby Elaina with the newspaper when Elaina ventures near the edge of the porch is very telling, in terms of AS's parenting *skills* (actually, lack of parenting skills). Elaina is only 18 months old - she doesn't know what danger is. Rather than try to remove her from the danger of falling down the steps, AS's automatic reaction was to swat at her (punish her).

The more I learn about AS, the more I dislike her.

Poor baby Elaina. My heart breaks for her.

I new to this thread. I did some read last night and today. Tell me if I got this right?

So basically the story is mom has both girls. Dad is picking up both girls that day. She lets the older one go out to him. She refuses to wake up the Elaina because she was "just" put down for a nap. She had gone to family dollar before putting her to sleep, didnt check on her when she got back... How did she know the baby was still napping when Dad came to pick her up??

Then the story turns into o m g, my baby is gone. She was the only one to find evidence/the diaper during a search. But she has the chance to go to work days later instead of continuing searching for baby?

I had seen a video posted earlier and she was asked how she feels about everyone helping her find her baby. She responded with something along the lines that she appreciates everyone's help w/ making her feel comfortable.

Then the story is being spun to reflect that she had a fear of someone?

Wow, this case has a lot of stories being woven by mom.

Not that the swat is the best way to go in that situation, but the other female is standing right next to Elaina at the time of the swat so she wasn't in imminent danger of falling. Will try to screencap in a minute.

edit - this is a split second after the swatting

Someone on here asked if the stroller or baby seat/carrier had a dog sniff it. (I cannot remember who, sorry.) Thank you for mentioning that!! A "Dog Lady" came by. When the kind Dog Lady offered assistance, that popped in my mind and she was glad to do that. TJ brought the stroller and carrier back from his house and the good dog did not react at all. I felt a big sigh of relief. I think this is good news. An alley walk produced nothing but interest here and there.

Because of the transcripts I noticed something and reported it and listed Websleuths as the source to FBI. They were very interested in the fact that my friends and I read an obituary for family members and read transcripts on Websleuths. I do not think they have had the time to do turn over every stone yet as the woman I spoke with seemed a bit excited legwork had been done.

Turn a stone over for Elaina! I did not know Elaina or her family prior to going to Toledo and am glad I live close enough to go there. Justice4Nevaeh has done an excellent job of organizing zones to be searched and a process for reporting something found. Even with a glitch or two along the way, by keeping the focus on Elaina, keeps everyone moving forward.

I also wanted to say a big "Thanks!" to Steph and Nicki, two brave women who inspected a spot that caught their eye and found a turkey in plastic wrap as the source of flies and one of the worst smells I've ever smelled. If I had gone where they did, I would have had to call for help to get out! There are many dedicated people out searching and Elaina is so fortunate to have them looking for her.
