People like this are the epitome of evil. Kill with no remorse aside from self concern. If the child got hurt, call 911!!! Instead they go and fake an abduction, and terrorize the entire nation with the crippling fear of a kidnapper. So they not only threw away the child's life and their own life, they traumatize an entire community. All for the sake of their selfishness. :furious: :banghead: :furious:

EVERY town, in EVERY state needs a crisis nursery. A place to drop little ones off for a few days so these parents can get their crap together instead of killing their children. I know there are some of these nurseries out there. WE NEED TO GET ONE IN EVERY TOWN IN EVERY STATE! I would much rather see these kids get dropped off and never have their parent come back than to see a child die at their parents hands. It is just infuriating to me and I just can't comprehend how a parent can look their child in their tiny little faces while they take their lives. I will never understand it and the day I do, God help me, someone send me to the psych ward! Just so totally angry that this little boy had to die because his mother couldn't handle being a mother. STOP HAVING KIDS IF YOU CAN'T HANDLE IT!!!! GRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :furious::banghead::furious::banghead:

We can speculate as to WHY until the cows come home! There is no answer that is good enough. No answer that justifies this horrible act. There is nothing this beautiful boy could have done that would drive her to this extreme. She even went as far as to coach her 5 year old to lie for her. If she is low income, she should have been able to get BC pills at no cost. She could also go into planned parenthood and get BC pills. But she had a third child. I'm just sick over this. Rest sweetly little one in the arms of angels.

But with BC, you just need to get to a doctor once a year for a prescription, then she could get the pills at any pharmacy in her neighborhood. A clinic not being in her neighborhood isn't that much of a hindrance. She also wouldn't have to go to a clinic. Regular doctors take medicaid, too. If she had wanted family planning information she could have gone to any one of them. One of the ones who delivered her three children, for instance. And, again, medicaid covers transportation to and from the doctor and pharmacy.

Not to mention the fact that she would have to be bothered to take birth control everyday. Man, this woman makes me sick. I hope they nail her 🤬🤬🤬 to the wall. Prisons have a special way of treating baby killers....KWIM????

The "thanks" button wasn't enough on this one! You nailed it right on the head LDRN!! I don't give a rat's patoot what her excuses are. Take your kid/s to a hospital, police station ANYWHERE they will be safe and walk away. I don't condone abandoning your child, but I would rather see that happen than the death of that child. So freakin' sickening!!! I am just so heartbroken and angry over this. I think I need to take a break for a while. I need to go and snuggle and kiss my kids right now.

Ahhhh.....thanks Stormy. Go and give your kids a snuggle and a kiss! That always made me feel better. I would do the same except mine are grown. Enjoy them....they sure grow up fast.

Little Emilliano was one of the most beautiful children I've ever seen... my heart is broken for his mama, who has never known love.

I just have a gut feeling she may not have gotten the support she needed from county children's services wrt foster care or adoption. The foster care & adoption system in this county has been overwhelmed for some time - so many cases, not enough families, etc. to place children with.

I sometimes wish they would just hand out free birth control pills at school or anywhere else. MOO

She could have gotten all the free birth control she wanted or an abortion or could have given the baby over for adoption. Sounds like she chose murder, instead. :furious: But, she just had another one so will, probably, use PPD as an excuse.

I hope poor E didnt hve special needs, as a mother of a special needs child (who has the mind of a 3 year old, and always will) , I know how hard this could be, but there is no way on earth that I or anyone I know would hurt their child.

What if's and buts could have prevented this tragedy but unfortunatly they didnt, now another child has lost its life to a selfish mother. I am sad, angry and a miliion other emotions right now, how on earth can a mother judt dump her child in the garbage.

JUst evil. THere are millions pf families that would have looked after him. Why could she have not just left him at a hospital.

Let me start by saying I wasn't able to be online yesterday and missed the news in this case. Now its 5 in the morning and I am playing some catch-up....just heartbroken to read about Emilliano. I haven't read all the details yet but this makes me sick.

Any parent, anywhere, can leave their child at a hospital, doctor's office, police station, church...WITH NO QUESTIONS ASKED. They simply leave them in a safe place and walk away. As sad as that would be, it certainly is better than what we have in this case.

I know some States have the drop off program but is it available in all States? Not sure if it would have made a difference in this case or not. I think mom had issues. Looking back at some of the stuff she posted online like studying to become a lawyer and the list of schools she attended, etc. IMO all BS.

His finding was just shortly after I logged off this afternoon. LE & FBI did great work in finding him so quickly. Just so sad and so preventable. RIP baby Emilliano. :rose:

I don't think that's true? Most states have the safe haven laws to leave a newborn at a hospital, fire dept, but I don't think it applies to older kids. I think it would probably fall under abandonment and she could have been arrested.

See comments:
http://voices.yahoo.com/putting-child-adoption-143449.html

I found this earlier today. Around 1:30 pm I called the fourth district and spoke with a detective who I sent the links and a screen shot to of the comments.
I was then called by FBI agent David Morgan who I again sent the comments to, as well as the link to her facebook and website.
This is just sickening. I am so sad but I knew.

What was this link to? When I click on it, it opens to an essay-type article about putting your baby up tor adoption. I'm confused...

Eta: apparently I was not able to "see " all of this article, including her comments.

What is this moms problem. I don't care if she didn't kill him, she still put him in a bag. Right from the start, the park and her 911 call I was already grieving for this small innocent child that didn't get a chance for life. This cycles need to stop. I do wonder if she has postpartum depression, and took her stress out on her child. And before people tell me they have had it, I believe its different for everyone. No does not make this right. But if she did ask for help, then what happen.
I get annoyed with my kids. They are 5 and 7 and guess what I don't smack them or yell, I just send them to there rooms when its out of control. But I love them more then anything and would kill anyone whoever hurt them. And it was tough when I had a newborn and a 2 1/2 home alone all day every day, but I tell myself it doesn't last forever, and my kids have promised to live with me forever, my choose haha.

I don't know if it is on a state level or local. I know in the town I grew up in, therre are Baby Safe Haven signs all around the downtown, and near hospitals, fire stations, etc. but in the town I currently live in, same state, there are none. :(

As far as the studying/lawyer/working thing, I believe that ended up being another gal with the same name, same approx age, and a little guy around E's age. Here I was giving E's mom credit for being such a hard worker and so devoted to her kids and education, but turns out it was another young women altogether. Case of mistaken MySpace/twitter identity.

InterestinG. I googled Baby Safe Haven, and found that the program IS state wide for here in Massachusetts. I guess it is perhaps up to the town/city to post signage, so that all are aware of it. IMO the signage should be plentiful and MANDATORY for cities to put up. How on earth else are parents to even know about the option? They should also be providing literature about it to every mom having a baby - and have the labor/delivery/maternity nurses go over it with mom. They go over everything else, this should be mandatory too!

Here is the info on Ohio's Baby Safe Haven law. I wonder if CT knew this was an option?
