Wow--I just read the comments under the KCSO's post on FB that I just linked in the previous post. Just read all the comments and replies. There is a person claiming to be his brother. It is all just rumor, but this may not be a case of a missing hiker. . .

Search continues for missing Roseville man - WHIZ News
  • It is believed that Ernest was hunting ginseng with several friends just East of Bladensburg when last seen, before becoming separated from his party.
  • Ernest is from Roseville.
  • “They’ve been doing some search and rescue type things up there. They’ve had OSP with the helicopter and plane. They’ve had horseback riders, they’ve had dogs. And so they’ve been in that area. And of course, they had an idea of where they went in at, and where the guys came out at. But where he could’ve wandered off to, it’s a pretty big area up there of the wooded area,” said Sheriff Lutz.

None of the KCSO fb links are working for me. Have posts been taken down?

I ran into that problem as well. I'm not sure what's going on with the posts.

This area is full of small towns and a lot of Amish. It's also relatively wooded and there are several corn fields. I hope he is found safe, but there is a lot of area to be hidden in around Knox County.

Thanks! I've been around for awhile, but have never posted before. I do not live in Knox County, but my husband's family is from there and we visit often.

LE responded at 10:00pm on the night he went missing & it’s been reported he was looking for ginseng. Is that normal to be looking for ginseng that late at night? I’m asking because I have no clue!

I don't know either but I don't think they were necessarily looking for ginseng at 10 p.m.

LE responded after the group he was with couldn't locate him. I don't think we know what time they became separated or how long they searched for him but I haven't gone back through the links. MOO

There’s some pretty interesting comments from a family member. There’s also a couple interesting questions being asked as well.
