A man with ties to Southern California has been on the run for more than five decades. The U.S. Marshals released a photo of Lester Eubanks using age progression hoping someone with recognize him.

Eubanks was sentenced to death in 1966 for the murder of 14-year-old Mary Ellen Deener in Mansfield. He escaped in 1973 while serving a life sentence.

''CLEVELAND — The U.S. Marshals Service in Northern Ohio has released
updated age progression photos of Lester Eubanks, a convicted murderer who escaped from prison more than 50 years ago.
Eubanks was sentenced to death in 1966 for the murder of 14-year-old Mary Ellen Deener in Mansfield. He escaped in 1973 while serving a life sentence and has not been seen since.''
''Authorities believe Eubanks was in the Los Angeles area in the 1970s using the alias “Victor Young.” In addition, he may have worked as a janitor at St. Francis Medical Center in Lynwood, California, in the late 1980s or early 1990s.
Eubanks was added to the U.S. Marshals' Top 15 Most Wanted Fugitives list in 2018.
A reward of up to $50,000 is available for information leading to Eubanks’ arrest.
