One of the news stations said it wasn't HD's coat, not sure which one, I will look into it more, but we all know that not ALL of MSM are on the same page at this point in time so will we even get the correct info from them currently? Or should we play the wait and see game and post what we come across (like what I found with the dog barking) and continue as is until we are able to get the CORRECT validation?
99% that's his coat look at it

All I know for 100% sure is that BCI hasn't been in there for over 4 hours, closed a bunch of streets to process Harley's "hide out". Not believing it. Something happened in that house. And I doubt we are going to find out exactly what until morning.

I cannot imagine LE treating such a critical piece of evidence in that way. That could cause transfer of materials from the new location to the coat.

Agree, it looks like the coat is hanging on the door the way they found it. Could be there were no hangers in the closet and (if it's Harley's coat) he just hung it that way.

No, I don’t agree

neither do I. How tall is the door? I am 5'3- 5'5 (depends on which Dr's office I am in or which gas station I walk out of) but I can reach up to 6'2, OR jump up that high if I have to, then there is also the standing on something to hang things up.

Things we DON'T know
1- is this home furnished (more than likely)
2- how tall is the door
3- how high can HD reach
4- was it HD that placed the coat there or did someone else do it??

Super great point! They should have taken pictures where the coat was found and put it immediately into an evidence bag, not hang it in another location to take photographs and potentially transfer evidence.

I seriously doubt that they did move it. I think those who have speculated they did are in error.

Here's something I do know:
14-yr-old boys don't hang up their coats.

Well....I'm usually an insomniac (ok ok I fear sleep) so I will try to keep up with this to the best of my ability

Here's a better quality one

Not to be alarmist, but that looks like a face in a body bag. I think I'm losing it though. I thought the coat was a leaf on a tree.

Well I will agree to disagree....my son hung his up 1/2 the time. like when I reminded him the floor wasn't where it belonged. He actually hangs his coat up now (4 years later) and puts 1/2 his clothes away...I THINK I've made SOME progress...lol I guess it's the "boys will be boys"

now for the AGREE part....HD isn't around his MOM she isn't there to remind him so...to the floor it goes.

Agreed. At a bare minimum, this was a location where evidence was dumped (or that’s the belief of law enforcement).

This now looks to me like foul play, as opposed to him running off and getting himself into trouble (which I previously thought).

The fact that it’s so close to his house, makes me think that whoever did this is close to home (literally and figuratively). That’s the only reason I can come up with for evidence having been there.

Someone probably panicked, and picked a place that they knew was vacant.

BCI doesn't only process crime scenes. They also have a missing persons unit that is listed on their website. It describes how they assist law enforcement in helping to find missing and endangered children.BCI being at the house across the street doesn't necessarily mean they found blood or a body.He very well could've ran away and hid out across the street. My daughter did that when she was 14.Took off abruptly and hid out in the empty duplex behind our unit. She then stated she chose to hide out there so when no one was home she could sneak back in to grab something to eat and get a change of clothes.I got a feeling,if I Googled similar incidents like what my daughter did, hiding directly behind my then unit, it's probably not all that uncommon.Thankfully my daughter outgrew her wild years and is alive and well.I hope and pray the same for Harley that he too will be found alive and well eventually ✝️[/QUOTE
Welcome to WS JJ thanks for the great post, thanks for sharing this with us

Even if it was over his head, he could have been standing on something--without seeing what else is in the room, it's hard to say.

I think many people have the wrong perception of his size based on the misleading first photographs released . looking at his most recent photos - he could EASILY reach it.

I sometimes would hang my coat as a kid. I had friends that would take care of their things also.

Typical boys don't shower as much he does
Yeah, I had to practically pay my boys at that age to take a shower. I reminded my 40 year old son of this the other day. He said “I remember Mom. That’s how I got my allowance.” So...I guess I really did.

Some have speculated that the coat may have been found elsewhere in the home and after being photographed in its original location, was hung to get further photos by the BCI.

Interesting. Being fairly short myself and barely able to hang things atop a door, I know Harley would not have been able to ha the coat there himself without some sort of step stool. So IMO it was definitely placed there by someone else
