I don't know why we keep getting a report of a coroner being on the scene. But LIVE reports are saying it is only the BCI unit vans. Channel 11 just stated, "Port Clinton Police say they are on the scene, along with the BCI."

Channel 5 live showed the van and reported it in their article.
Obviously there are conflicting reports. I also think it depends where they are standing what they can see maybe? There are vehicles all the way down the street.

BCI Investigation Division
Because criminal cases can be won or lost at the scene of the crime, the professional investigators of BCI are on call 24/7 to share their expertise with local jurisdictions. They assist local, state, federal, and international law enforcement agencies in securing and analyzing evidence, addressing legal issues, and providing other services necessary to ensure thorough and successful criminal investigations.
BCI special agents work closely with federal and local authorities, as well as legal counsel from the Ohio Attorney General’s Office, to ensure investigation decisions are based on sound legal principles.

The Investigations Division consists of the following units:

  • The Crime Scene Unit helps local law enforcement process felony crime scenes for physical evidence and provides experts to testify in court. BCI’s crime scene agents are among the most highly trained and best equipped in the nation and can contribute the latest crime scene processing techniques and forensic equipment to local investigations, ensuring the best opportunity for identifying and prosecuting criminals.

FPS is the coroner there or not? I’m not in the mood ever for fake news but especially now! Ugh

Imo. Mom may have given the description of not seeing And hearing Harley that morning, because 41 hours is embarrassing enough. Let alone admit you didn't see your kid for 50 something hours. So we would have to go back to the previous person that saw Harley. Was the expanded request of cctv video, an attempt to prove that Harley did in fact leave that house?

Does any of this make sense? o_O

I agree with you. In fact, my first reaction when she made that distinction, was that she was suspicious LE would catch her in a lie which in turn would not look good (however I didn’t want to say this initially because I’m not pointing fingers). So I figured she made sure to correct it before it got that far. I would also agree that initially the confusion was to hide the embarrassment (if not for other reasons as well). In fact, I’d indeed innocent and no knowledge of his whereabouts, she was more than likely hoping he would show back up before she had to clarify that she hadn’t seen him.

Until they Positively make an ID the status would not change.

They showed the van that said Coroner across it? I would like to view that image.

Could it be possible that HD has been hiding in that house and when he caught sight of LE coming in force towards to house he hid under the porch or climbed into one of the trees and is hiding from them?? They have so many blocks blocked off so if he were to run he would be seen, so IF he were in the area he is small enough he can make himself small enough to remain unseen. Just a thought and MOO
Just a thought: There was a teen in my past town who learned through a wilderness training program (for out-of-control teens) how to survive in the wilderness. When he was discharged from the program, he ran away from home again and was sleeping in abandoned houses and sometimes a tent. For months he snuck back into his mom's and grandparents' home and stole food.

Watching the reporter. He emphasizes no remains found, but clearly evidence of something found.

Since Mom's clarification occurred AFTER the Chief put out the request for community surveillance footage/photos from 7:24 pm to midnight Thursday evening, she may possibly have wanted to account for why whatever he was wearing at his friend's house on Thursday night could plausibly be MISSING from the family home when it was searched after Harley's disappearance was finally reported.

If she "spoke to him, but did not see him, and there IS a difference," then misstating what she thought he was wearing when he disappeared in her original statement to them could plausibly be explained.

I'm sorry, I'm not screen capping every second of the live streams and I'm flipping back and forth between several. Either way, I'm sure we'll find out soon enough.

I just caught up with the forums. What a time for WS not to work for me

There is far too much police presence at that location for there not to be something even if it's not a body I have to believe they found something. What are the chances of that much LE at the house right near HD's? They have been there a while; something must be there. Also, on the positive, this is the most action in this case since the start, so at least things are moving. Hopefully, this helps solve the case or move it in the direction of solving it. Poor Harley.

Maybe we will get a presser soon!

Would be very convenient for Harley to be right across the street ! But the flip side thinking about some wacko surveiling from there ... Gives me chills. MOO

  • #537
The reporter who was in the first live link from Fox 8 on his way to the scene said the Clinton police told him no body was found AND he also said the police have said the parents have no involvement. Did you guys catch that?
