Harold Dempsey Shope appears to have been born 17 September 1961. But of more relevance to this case is that he was married with a daughter in Florida but was divorced from his wife in Florida in September 1991, three months before going missing. When I see this sort of close time period between a major life event and going missing it always makes me think there is a possibility they are linked. It could be in several ways, including deciding on a clean break to start a new life. He had been married for 10 years so it would have been a real upheaval. Oddly Ancestry has multiple address records for Harold D Shope in Jacksonville subsequent to his missing date (some by many years) but I suspect these are just rollovers from residence before he went missing.
