Search underway after toddler reported missing in Springfield Twp



SPRINGFIELD TWP., Ohio (FOX19) - A search is underway after a toddler was reported missing in Springfield Township overnight, according to Hamilton County dispatchers.

Springfield Township police responded to the intersection of Meredith Drive and Hamilton Avenue and remain on scene Monday morning, dispatchers said.

A 3-year-old girl was reported missing on Meredith Drive, they said.

They referred further questions to authorities on scene, but so far they have not provided an update to our crews there.

Springfield Township police and fire and Hamilton County Urban Search & Rescue remain on scene.

A 3-year-old girl, Janyila Turner, was reported missing about 9:30 p.m. Sunday on Meredith Drive, according Springfield Township Police Cheif Rob Browder.

The Springfield Township Police Department is actively searching for 3 year old Janyila Turner. Janyila was last seen in the area of 1570 Meredith Dr. in Springfield Township at approximately 9:00 p.m. on Sunday June 30, 2019. Janyila is described as a female black with brown braided hair, brown eyes, stands 2’ and weighs approximately 24 pounds. She was last seen wearing pink pajamas with snowflakes.

Anyone who may have seen Janyila Turner or knows of her whereabouts is asked to call the Springfield Township Police Department at (513) 729-1300.​

This isn't looking good if the search has been pulled back. Hopefully they are searching elsewhere and the media hasn't driven around to try to find where that is. Otherwise, this is going to be yet another of those cases we all hate.
