Oh my! This is so distressing- I am thinking accident due to the proximity to water and the age of the vehicle. They seem like such lovely folk too.....
And here I thought this couple would be found fairly quickly
"We're very hopeful that there's a little bit of movement in this case," said Jackie Davis. "I would say there have been many good tips. They have brought some people in for questioning and they have questioned some other people. They've searched every route by air and on foot. They've flown the river. There's no sign of the car anywhere,. So at this point, you have to think that somebody doesn't want us to find the car."
Chief Deputy James Zusack calls the case "very confusing."
Thanks for this update! Gosh, now it's got me wondering if something other than an accident occurred. Thank goodness there's some movement towards resolution, I hope.

Adding my bump for them!Finding nothing new since July 11th. Bumping for Brian and Joni.....
It has been 8 weeks since Joni Davis and Brian Goff were last seen leaving a Pizza Hut in Belmont County.
An investigation has produced a bunch of leads that have gone cold, but the family isn't losing hope yet.
This is so disheartening. When I saw there was a new post, I hoped they'd been found. It's a shame there's inaccessible areas for searching, but those areas would be much less likely for them to have gone off into with a car. I am still leaning toward their car going into the river because I can't think of anything else at this point. Bumping for Joni and Brian!

That'd be good to know, KJ's Mamu. Bumping again!Inaccessible due to terrain or because they are private property? Do we know?
I grew up in the area and it would be near impossible for them to have driven into the river. I would be looking over some of the hillsides as people have gone off the road in some of the surrounding areas and not been found for weeks. As an aside, there has been a huge amount of rain/flooding and quite a number of roads have washed out or slid down the hills.
Inaccessible due to terrain. Once some of the foliage dies back in the colder months it will be much easier to spot the car during an aerial search if they did have an accident that landed them off-road.Inaccessible due to terrain or because they are private property? Do we know?

Welcome to Websleuths, Mark Biloxi, and thank you for sharing encouraging news and your insight! After 90 days, FBI joins search for missing Belmont County couple
September 15, 2018
MARTINS FERRY — Brian Goff and Joni Davis were last seen more than 90 days ago, and now another agency is getting involved in the search for them.
Goff, 64, and Davis, 55, both of Martins Ferry, have been missing since June 10. That was the date they were last seen, leaving Pizza Hut on National Road in St. Clairsville. They were driving a light blue 1990 Oldsmobile Delta 88 with Ohio license plate number of EYA 7482. Belmont County sheriff’s Chief Deputy James Zusack previously said that Goff is Davis’ caregiver, since Davis had suffered a traumatic brain injury. Family members said the couple always followed a strict routine, but they have not been spotted at any of their usual spots since June 10.
Early in the investigation, the Ohio State Highway Patrol used a search plane to try to find their vehicle from the sky in the local area. Zusack said the Belmont County Sheriff’s Department wants to find the pair and needs all the help it can get, so it is now accepting the help of the FBI.
Zusack said investigators have hit the 90-day mark in the case, and they are still taking tips, following leads and working with Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department but needed the resources the FBI could offer.
“They have resources and tools which can help us further our search for the couple,” Zusack said. “We are very appreciative of the FBI’s assistance and hope that in working with them we can find the two.”
Zusack also urges anyone who believes they may have seen the couple or may have knowledge as to their whereabouts is urged to call the Belmont County Sheriff’s Office at 740-695-2212, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office at 740-283-8600 or the FBI at 614-224-1183.
Note from Poster: I believe this couple will be found somewhere off road in the Belmont County of the area they live in from their drive from Pizza Hut towards their home off Rt 250. With winter coming someone will find this car off road or over a hill and with sadness the couple still in it.
