I hope they did go out to check this today. I wonder if it is in jurisdiction if FPD might have wanted control over that search?

That's exactly what I am thinking; clear the area & get the LE in there to preserve everything they can.

My two cents about JC:

I worked in the food industry throughout my twenties, mostly nights. My schedule: start around 5 or 6pm, work until 10 or 11pm, hang out with friends/co-workers after work until 2 or 3am, go home, eat, go to bed, wake-up in late afternoon. This is a very common schedule for someone in the food industry that works nights. That being said, I don’t find JC’s actions (or supposed actions) the night of KM’s disappearance that strange.

I saw his interview on Nancy Grace last night and the first thing I thought to myself was, this guy was hanging out with his friends getting high after he left KM’s condo! Why do I think that? Because that’s what myself and the majority of my co-workers did back when I was working in the food industry. You bust your all night trying to make tips, you get off work late and go to a friend/co-worker’s house to smoke weed and unwind. He doesn’t remember what he watched on TV because it was probably just on in the background as they were sitting around smoking, again, this is a normal while hanging out and getting high. They weren’t actually watching what was on. “Burning” or “burning one down” are terms used for smoking pot. I’ve heard some people suggest JC may be a little slow, I think he’s probably just stoned.

Personally, I think he had something to do with KM’s disappearance. I did not find him to be believable from the time I saw his first interview. I think he thought that if he openly talked to the media people wouldn’t suspect him, it’s usually individuals who keep quiet that people are suspicious of. Unfortunately for him, I don’t think he was savvy enough in his interviews and immediately drew attention to himself.

I predict it won’t be long until he’s linked to KM’s disappearance.

It sounds like she said they are going back to that area today. And that there are other searches for tomorrow and the big one on Saturday. I would think that they would want to get right on a decomp smell. Just needs some dogs to help out. Does Tim Miller's organization have cadaver dogs?

At six they said search has ended for the day and nothing about decomp.

Only reason I was watching them is they have extended news starting at 4 - an hour before anyone else.

I guess we will hear tomorrow or never, it ends up being nothing.

According to their website, yes. Whether they brought them here - I do not know. I know on one broadcast, they asked people leave their dogs at home.

Hi everyone! I just wanted to introduce myself. First post. I live in the area, within a few miles, and this case has interested me since the beginning. I have heard a few rumors and "a friend of a friend told me..." etc., but I'm not sure how true they are. I will be volunteering to help with the big search this Saturday, I can post how it goes if I can.

Couldn't agree more! Every time I hear someone say the up late / sleep late schedule is "suspicious" I think "wow - that was my exact lifestyle up until I reached my mid-twenties" (former bartender here!). I remember when I landed my first professional day job, and it took a few months to "re-train" my friends that it was no longer appropriate to stop by at midnight, call at 3 am (when the bar shifted ended) to see what I was up to, etc. etc.

And from a personal perspective, once a I grew out of that lifestyle, I moved on past a lot of my more casual "latenight" friends. All of a sudden, wasting the day away sleeping just didn't seem that cool to me. I can only imagine that someone finishing school and working two jobs might start to feel the same way. I almost wonder if that was the cause of arguments - KM ready to go to sleep... JC bored and still wanting to go do something. "Really? You're going to sit up all night and smoke weed with those losers, again??" Purely speculation, of course, but just makes me wonder.

Wow, I couldn't agree with you more. Why does she do that? And then she throws in some snappy comment that isn't even appropriate to the person who is talking (often the experts or newscasters).

This is something that stands out to me.... and forgive me if I heard wrong, but I thought JC said that he sent her a "good morning" text, but wasn't alarmed that she didn't respond because he thought she "may have been running late to work"..... So if he sent this text between 1am and 430am (when he fell asleep), Why would she be running late, or if he sent it when he woke up at 430pm, why would she be running late? Did I hear that right or are my facts confused? Sigh.

Yes, someone who is finishing college and working two jobs is definitely on a different path than someone who is working at a pizza place and perhaps spending his free time getting stoned. I have known couples in situations like this and it never works out. These two got together at a very young age, it is highly likely that through the years they changed and started to grow apart and go in different directions. If one person matured and the other not so much, the more mature person may have been ready to leave the relationship and move on while the immature was still content in the relationship. An immature person may not take this well and lash out.

I think the bigger question here is why was she still supposedly up and texting at 12:45am when she was so tired that she needed to go to sleep around 11-11:30pm as per JC?

And why didn't he question her about why she was still up in his texts?

You heard it right. He sent her a good morining text at 4:30 then fell asleep.

The running late was the first interview.........He sent her a good mornining text and when she didn't respond he thought she was just running late for work.

You're not confused.......he is.

Ok, in my defense I am pretty sure by the end he was seeing other people too. And we were on and off by that point. Mine was a bit different from JC and KM (at least on the surface) because the issues we had were a lot more public. Lord almighty you guys would have had a FIELD DAY with our public blogs if one of us had turned up missing.
