Great evening. Can someone more knowledgable help me understand something:

If JC was brought in, wouldn't the police have to have evidence? Just wondering because she hasn't been found so we really don't know yet what happened.

I was wondering if the police could keep someone without charging them of a crime?

This is all hypothetical -- was just wondering how that would work. Please advise and much thanks!

Okay, done eating - so I will take a crack at this.
1. Do not need a body for a murder charge or even to win a trial - but it sure helps.
THAT SAID -- yes, the would need evidence of A CRIME.
2. As happens many times - People can be arrested for a related crime or unrelated crime, such as Lying to Law Enforcement (hehe- KC Anthony is example!) so, even if the RUMOR (not mine) were true, the next question would be what are the charges!!!!!!!!!!!!

As far as police 'keeping someone without charging them' - if they say they want to leave, unless under arrest I believe they are free to go.

Keep thinking abt the above FB rumor....thinking that really isn't something to lie about and it time will tell whether it is a lie. I don't want to believe one of her friends would do that.

Well, don't laugh but one of my thoughts now (with no MSM reports, etc) is did the dude with the weird videos does not like everyone critiquing his work?

OH - and I agree --- HEARTLESS FOOL whoever posted it!

If JC is now attempting to add another person of interest to this fiasco it could only mean one of 2 things:

1) he has conspired with a friend. He has asked a friend to report that he was at Katelyn's house that evening (probably late too...JC will probably state that it was 10pm no doubt) and this friend will vouch that everything was lovey-dovey, hunkey-dorry between the two love birds.

2) someone else actually HAD been at Katelyn's that evening but JC conveniently forgot to mention it in the 3,000+ interviews that he's done in the past 3 weeks.

I don't see why he'd lie about it if this friend has come forward and told the police that he was actually there.

Who knows? Maybe we have another POI in this case that we've been unaware of. I doubt it but, who knows?

I cannot understand why he would not have mentioned the friend that was with them before now, if it was true. I mean wouldn't it have been the perfect alibi to have someone else to be a witness that she was alive and well when they left, and they were not fighting but she kissed JC goodbye sweetly and that was that? Why would this just be coming out now?

If it is a lie, and a friend is just trying to 'help' by giving him that alibi, then it is going to backfire big time, imo.
