Thanks SS...you read my mind! I was just coming on here to ask if anyone had a timeline readily handy. After so long and so many other cases I needed a facts refresher.

Rest in Peace Katelyn. My condolences to her family & friends.
Hoping there will be justice for this dear sweet artsy lady.

I think we should call him her ex-fiance. I think it's safe to say they're officially broken up at this point.

Good to see you here. I would say it is safe to say they have been officially broke up for a long, long time. I won't post 'rumors' but my use of long, long might say it all.

Glad you are here to help direct people to information as I am still just numb this morning.

RIP our colorful Katelyn.

I'm not completely caught up yet but just gotta say...

Wow! Thank God!!! On the one hand, I'm so sorry that Katelyn ended up this way but on the other, thrilled that she is finally coming home. I had almost lost hope that she ever would.

Don't know where the discussion stands and going to go back and get up to speed but... I have always been suspicious of the boyfriend and my posts reflected as much. Wonder how he's feeling at the moment? Getting nervous and antsy????

:rose:
RIP Beautiful Katelyn!!

Anyone wanting to brush up on the collected info and timeline of this case can view this page:

http://kmdce.livejournal.com/1435.html

The peculiar pic-of-a-pic and the alleged document burning, the (ex)fiance's alibi(s), inconsistent statements, odd behavior, etc. (which I see folks have asked about), are all noted in the document.

"Burning the papers" was a strange alibi, I always wondered about that, and I actually thought they might find her burned.

In addition to the archive livejournal, there is a picture/article/video Case Archive.

I am working on adding your site map.

Early this morning one of my searcher buddies went past Dorshire and someone left balloons and a teddy bear out in front of the townhouse. I will upload that cell phone pic when I get it.

Hopefully this map will work...

A is Katelyn's home.
B is Okeana where there was a rumored phone ping, and a TES search.
C is the location where her remains were discovered.
D is the area of the Carter family farm.

Distance from A to D is about 50 miles, maybe a little less.

ETA: Ah, damn, I don't know how to embed. But here's a link:

holy moly roly poly... looks like a straight line to me...

i didnt realize that was where the last ping was. sounds like someone was flustered and remembered that the phone could be tracked, so they disabled that, on the way to put katelyn where she was found. i wonder if the cell phone was near the body? i wonder if there were clothes? i wonder if maybe the clothes and phone were "burned"??

where did the "burning of the papers" supposedly take place? (sorry, my memory is worthless)

When the search for Katelyn Markham came to a devastating end this week, so did all hope her family had been holding out for her return.

That crushing blow throws her relatives right back to the beginning stages of grief that has enveloped their lives since the Fairfield woman went missing in August 2011, just two days before her 23rd birthday.

OT, Hoping Lauren is found soon also. Her parents accepted long ago that she is gone, and it must be torture each time remains, or a body is found.

When I bumped this thread with this two weeks ago, I was hoping there'd be some resolution for Katelyn's family soon . . . so in a way, I expected this news, but it was still shocking to read the news and see 'Found Deceased' next to her thread title. :anguish:

:bump: for Katelyn. :heartbeat:

My deepest condolences to Katelyn's family and loved ones.
