Found Deceased OH - Kei'Mani Latigue, 13, Toledo, 16 March 2025 *arrest*

IMO!!! I recall an interview from the mother that explained how the father brought Keimani to visit the mother and the mother paid "child support" to the father and gave $ to Keimani. I swear I heard it in an interview. I spent last night searching and couldn't find it. For days I thought maybe he got drugs with the $ and this happened. Anyway this is IMO because I can't find the interview.
I don’t know about the specific situation, but I have wondered if it was drug related also. I’ve wondered if there was ongoing sexual abuse and something happened this occurrence that resulted in the escalation or if it hasn’t been and there was potential drug use here. I mean it’s possible that it just occurred But the whole situation is so dang messy. It feels like there’s probably a lot of components.

That was my first thought when I saw the video. I'm pretty sure the picture floating around of him with hair is a screen grab from local news from when he was pretending he didn't have anything to do with this crime.
I cant catch everything. But before he was shot he told them to do it and he wanted to die.
Right before they sit him up he says "It's all my fault."
He keeps saying stuff because the cop says to him "nothing's that bad but it can't be fixed."
Sounds like he was shot in the arm the side and the leg.

Thanks for the video clip !
At about 1:04 , there's a brown/wooden handled revolver -- looks like he was ready to kill a cop.
Imo.
Yep!!
I watched it in slow motion and he definitely reaches for the gun inside his front pocket on his sweatshirt.
He didn't have a cell phone on him but he had a walkie-talkie on him. That is not good.

One of Keimani Latigue’s teachers said she called authorities at least twice over her concerns for the girl……
Keimani came to school with injuries regularly.

“She would have welt marks on the back of her neck, back, and stomach,” she said. “She was constantly bruised. She was fearful of going home.”

Interesting that this teacher who had Keimani in her classroom last year - says she called authorities twice for abuse. That would be while she was in the care of her Grandmother.

Please listen to this interview beginning at 10:04. The abuse allegations were investigated as recent as seven months ago, per her own admission.

Yes, it sounds like the mistreatment that the teachers described might happened at Keimani's previous caregivers' residence ?
Poor girl.

Wandered over to social media and was aghast at what was being said.
People are angry and rightfully so, but they need to direct this resentment towards the one who took Keimani's life !
Hoping for the harshest justice allowed for him and anyone else involved in Keimani's murder.
Possible the godmother needs to be investigated .

Looks like the grandma was caring for her and working full time as well ?
She must have been exhausted, and I'm sorry if any of my posts seemed to level any undue suspicion towards grandma (DL); it was not meant that way !
Imo.
Omo.
As I understand it, the abuse occured in Dorothy's home. The teacher who reported the abuse and was interviewed, is Keimani's sixth grade teacher at the school she attended last year.

A classmate at the school Keimani was currently attending, also speaks in this same interview. She says that herself and other students saw bruising on her arms and decided to tell a teacher. It sounds like every time someone complained, she was moved to another school.

The investigation that happened last year, which Dorothy said was closed - could have made Keimani feel like no one would believe her if she spoke of any abuse. She also may not have wanted to be removed from the home. We see this often in the worst abuse cases.

I'm not directly blaming Dorothy for her death, she didn't kill Keimani. Many of you seem to feel she was doing her best and have sympathy for her.

My sympathy is for Keimani. If CPS had properly investigated the abuse allegations a year ago, might still be alive today had she been removed from the home. Surely we can all see how suffering abuse in the home would effect her ability to be able to trust she would be believed. IMO, it's very likely the monster who killed her had been sexually abusing her for years. Had she been removed, she might have eventually been able to tell someone what had been happening to her.

I'm heartbroken she never had that opportunity.

Sadly I think EVERYONE who saw/thought/questioned this situation acted WAY TO LATE! She needed help and maybe nobody knew what to do but it was to late. IMO

It is truly alarming that Darnell J. Ogletree has remained out of custody despite an extensive arrest record spanning a wide range of serious offenses including drug-related charges, theft, and acts of violence. His record reflects not isolated incidents, but a persistent pattern of criminal behavior over several years.

This is not a case of occasional poor judgment—it is a long-standing history of unlawful conduct that, by all accounts, should have resulted in significant legal consequences. Unfortunately, repeated opportunities to intervene and hold him accountable were missed.
